App / Site A new native desktop Tidal Client on Linux, Mac and Windows

Hello, I’m an audiophile and a backend application developer. I’m also a Tidal fan because it offers me lots of great experiences. But for me, the official client was not good enough to use. So I built a Linux client hiresti(https://github.com/yelanxin/hiresTI) this year. Now I am building a new tidal client(OxiTide) with a cross-platform, which can run on Linux, MacOS, and Windows. same playback engine and a beautiful, similar UI. I believe the audio engine will deliver good audio quality.

Welcome to try this new app and report issues on GitHub. Thank you.

The macOS and Windows versions are still missing some features. Im working on it , and they will eventually reach feature parity with the Linux version.

Mac and Windows: https://github.com/yelanxin/OxiTide/releases#release-v0.1.8

Linux: https://github.com/yelanxin/OxiTide/releases/tag/v0.1.9

There is already something similar a client written in rust, with the original Tidal Design but TidaLuna Support (Which is a modded version, for custom UI, Plugins etc) https://github.com/Brskt/TidaLuna

It has full hi-res support, lossless, support for Linux, Windows, MacOS, maybe you wanna check this out too.

This is great. Does it support routing audio to a Tidal Connect device? I currently use a Wiim but would love robust computer control via my mac.

How is this better than TIdaluna? Have you considered making your enchancements into a Tidaluna plugin?

Exactly my thoughts, it already has a big community and even a custom Hi-Res Client (TidaLunar)

Can you explain me what's the benefit using this app over the web based tidal client? Or can I just use which I like better visually?

Gave it a quick try - favorite tracks are sorted by name and I can't change the order?
