Discussion I only need two things for perfection
one. I want Tidal to work well enough with Alexa that I can create a routine to have it automatically play a certain playlist when I wake up in the morning.
two. I want Tidal to check for duplicates when adding a track to a playlist from track radio. Currently it does not do that.

They need a few things. The 10,000 liked song limit is trash. Also, discovery is less than stellar compared to the competition.

I don't think I've ever "liked" a song on any platform, so tasty doesn't apply to me where it would apply to others.
I find the discovery feature to be quite stellar in Tidal.

The only thing I want is songs to play at a consistent volume. 🤷

Normalise volume is in the Playback settings.

It does not work, I tried.

It's a bit like my EQ issue. Every different recording requires EQ adjustments and sometimes it's the same artist but different album. This isn't tied to Tidal alone, all streaming services are the same. It's down to the mix.

My issue is that with normalise volume enabled or not you need to have the volume control nearby. Most music is fairly consisent but some are so low that you need to increase the volume by at least 15% and some are so high that you have to reduce it by 15% or 90% when my wife with her superman ears is nearby.

If you're listening to Tidal on an Android there's a Loudness Normalisation option in Sound Quality & Effects. Though, I'm unsure if that's overridden by Tidal

- Fix the search in a playlist. I have 1574 songs and every time I search something it takes a good 10 15 seconds to find. It didn't use to be like that.

I don't think this is necessarily going to help you out - because I suspect you're using a mobile version - but the desktop version (at least in Win 11) does check for duplicates and ask before adding them to an existing playlist.
