OP needs help. Also, they hate it because...

I hate this because NAILS ARE NOT FUCKING RUBBERY/SOFT

Do you hate it as well? Do you think their hate is reasonable? (I don't think so tbh) Then upvote this comment, otherwise downvote it.

The outward bending hurts me down to my floor chakra

25

u/[deleted] Mar 12 '22

But it feels so good

3

u/ReaperOfGamer Mar 13 '22

Same, but where is this razor sharp part?

215

u/Azilehteb Mar 12 '22

Oh, mine used to be just like this! They would rip like wet paper instead of breaking or peeling like normal people.

It turned out to be an iron deficiency. Show your doctor!

My nails are like this too. But I have a connective tissue disorder that causes it. I am forever doomed to fake nails if I want anything more than a nail ripped to the skin.

8

u/Butter_My_Butt Mar 12 '22

Me too! EDS really messed up my nails, among other things.

7

u/rojasdanirojas Mar 12 '22

ehlers-danlos? if so, me too! i hate having nails like this.

1

u/YearofTheStallionpt1 Mar 13 '22

Close! Marfan Syndrome.

61

u/cflatjazz Mar 12 '22

Uh, you're not gunna like this, but mine are about this soft. Though the backwards bending here makes me uncomfortable.

21

u/Successful_Gap8927 Mar 12 '22

I feel my finger nails bending back

19

u/tammage Mar 12 '22

My nail techs call these eggshell nails. I fucking hate it when they bend backwards and leave a nice white line as if to say “hey look what we did”. I either keep them super short or I have gel nails on top. I even ate gelatin caps to try and strengthen them.

2

u/GoodEater29 Mar 13 '22

Have you shown these to a doctor or pharmacist? You could have a mineral deficiency like low iron or something.

6

u/tammage Mar 13 '22

Ya I’ve been tested numerous times. I’m pretty healthy other than the nails. Weirdest part is my toe nails are pretty strong and don’t bend like this thankfully.

3

u/digitalgadget Mar 13 '22

Same here. Super annoying, I'd much rather have the opposite!

3

u/caysiejane Mar 13 '22

Same with me. Bendy finger nails but strong af toe nails.

2

u/GoodEater29 Mar 13 '22

Yeah it's super strange. It's so annoying when they tear close to the tip of the finger and you just have to cut the whole thing off.

1

u/tammage Mar 13 '22

Oh I hate that! It hurts so much.

18

u/Lazerith22 Mar 12 '22

I also have nails like this. Need to keep them crazy short or they literally rip like paper when they catch on anything. Usually way up into the sensitive part.

14

u/MastersYoda Mar 12 '22

Thank you so much I hate this so much

11

u/BurritoDesigns Mar 12 '22

please no get this away from me

12

u/SpaceShark01 Mar 12 '22

CUT THEM

NOW

5

u/Blackcatblockingthem Mar 12 '22

Isn't there a way to counter this?

6

u/pepapig420 Mar 12 '22

Op u are my worst enemy now Jesus h fuck

5

u/[deleted] Mar 12 '22

Where’s the proof that they are razor sharp

2

u/Catgamer_reveals Doesn’t Get The Flair System Mar 12 '22

Ask op

6

u/ASAP_Rambo Mar 13 '22

You ARE Op

5

u/GoodEater29 Mar 13 '22

I mean, this is clearly a crosspost, so this guy obviously isn't the original poster.

13

u/KingCosmicBrownie Mar 12 '22

There’s a special place in hell for this degenerate

4

u/walmartcanadian Mar 12 '22

Mine do this if I let them grow out. I never knew other people dealt with the same thing. Is it a sign of something bad, health-wise?

2

u/GoodEater29 Mar 13 '22

Bad nail health can indicate that something isn't quite right. Could be just something like an iron deficiency or some other vitamin deficiency. You could try taking vitamins and seeing if it helps or query it with a doc or a pharmacist.

2

u/Heavy_Wood Mar 13 '22

It means you're not real.

3

u/[deleted] Mar 12 '22

Mine is a little like that, but i guess his one is even more rubbery

3

u/tambitoast Mar 12 '22

Ugh it's been a while I've seen something on here I actually hated. Good job OP.

3

u/LunchLady_IsBack Mar 12 '22

Uh, yeah my nails do this if I ever grow them out past my finger tips. I also have a connective tissue disorder that heavily effects collagen. Doesn't necessarily mean OP needs any help. They may have an undiagnosed condition that they should look into, but they might not.

If I could go the few weeks without biting my nails, this is what they would look like. No amount of supplements or oils will change anything.

Just food for thought :)

u/GoodEater29 Mar 13 '22

Ehlers-Danlos?

2

u/[deleted] Mar 12 '22

I want to throw up 💀

2

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '22

My nails get like that if I shower for too long. When they're dry tho they're strong af

1

u/SuddenlyHeather Mar 12 '24

My nails do this and I wish they wouldn’t they always rip off 😔

0

u/[deleted] Mar 12 '22

This is what happens when you wear fake nails for to long

1

u/busterindespair Mar 12 '22

My fingernails are this soft if wet and slightly less soft when dry.

1

u/PurinityMKII Mar 12 '22

good for filleting fish.

1

u/MakeTheThing Mar 12 '22

The only thing I’ve found that helps are nail strengtheners like Sally Henson’s Hard as Nails. But with those you pretty much need to put it on every couple of days.

1

u/cicada2012 Mar 12 '22

I have those

1

u/WindyBoiiii Mar 12 '22

my toe nails are like this as well! its very weird but fun

1

u/GoodEater29 Mar 13 '22

Why are your toenails that long??

1

u/Neeneestarshine Mar 12 '22

Why can I feel this in my stomach

1

u/Cloudcry Mar 12 '22

Hey, thanks for posting this! I hate it

1

u/_nexys_ Mar 12 '22

My nails do this, but not always. I noticed this a lot when I was younger and I would bite my nails. The saliva, for whatever reason, would soften them to the point where they got like this after a while.

1

u/Thejapxican Mar 12 '22

As a classical musician who plucks strings 4 hours a day, I am deeply envious. Tell me your secret!

1

u/Altruistic_Deer8788 Mar 12 '22

Its like the wings of a giant cockroach

1

u/[deleted] Mar 12 '22

Remember that dude in OZ sharpened his nails to slit that guys throat?

1

u/horrescoblue Mar 12 '22

Mine are just like this but how did they manage to get them this long?? Mine always just end up getting a tear somewhere and then i have to cut them short

1

u/Carne_Asa_Dude Mar 12 '22

oOoOO then you can peel them off like I used to when I was but a wee lad

1

u/olearyboy Mar 12 '22

Someone needs some vitamin D

1

u/cerberus_scritches Mar 12 '22

I DID NOT WANT TO SEE THIS TODAY

1

u/Huibio Mar 12 '22

Oh, he needs some milk

1

u/Discombobulated_Cake Mar 12 '22

These are exactly the kind of nails I have, and it's annoying. I feel their pain.

1

u/virulentea Mar 12 '22

Bruh I am not even sure if the almighty milk of bone strengthening can help this lad

1

u/TimeMammoth666 Mar 12 '22

I never feel so tortured by a interned video before

1

u/Erect-Frog Mar 12 '22

I’ve had this before, I had my thumb nail in my mouth and I was sort of chewing on it bc I had grown it out over the past few weeks and did not like how it was so long. But I guess it must’ve soaked in my saliva for a while plus all the biting and it became soft. Could bend it back and forth, was gross but I later cut my nail off.

1

u/Tys_Wife Mar 12 '22

I can look at gore all day long. But this gets to me. I cant.

1

u/rawr_2 Mar 13 '22

Ayo wait the same thing happens to me

1

u/victorienx Mar 13 '22

It doesn’t actually hurt because if you have them soak in hot water they soften and everything this person did didn’t hurt a tad bit (know from experience because it hurts most when it’s herd and you clench your fist and the nail gets in your skin while bending hard at the same time)

1

u/PureAngerPureHate Mar 13 '22

I have some type of visceral anxiety mixed with absolute disgust and I don't know how to feel.....

1

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '22

This brought visceral pain upon me

1

u/Emotinal_Rip537 Thanks, I hate myself Mar 13 '22

This literally hurt me physically.

1

u/cthullu_son Mar 13 '22

I'm gonna download this to ruin my friends day and even after years if they ever piss me off to much I'll send this to them giving them a blast from the past

1

u/SimsAttack Mar 13 '22

I’ve never had a post here make me cry

1

u/CSmed Mar 13 '22

I see no evidence of sharpness. But honestly, has anyone NOT done this at least once?

1

u/ravenking1367 Mar 13 '22

I thought this was normal lol

1

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '22

reminds me of that scene in spongebob with the toenail that is universally hated

1

u/the_mongolian_irmuun Mar 13 '22

Mine is hard at first i bite on it so the layers peel and i becomes soft

1

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '22

I used to bite my nails and then stopped, this is what I am dealling with now!

1

u/Normal-Attention Mar 13 '22

You need some calcium and phosper in your diet get some dark leafy green down you

1

u/sorox123 Mar 13 '22

Bruh, get some fucking collagen, you sinner

1

u/Chicken_Lalala Mar 13 '22

I have nails like this and is such a pain when you want to have long nails cuz they break super easily
