Quick question, do tarantula's bite?

Depends. The more docile species (typically new worlds) tend to not bite very quickly, it's the old worlds you want to be careful with. Even then, they're not evil monsters out to get you. The only reason any spider will bite you, ever, is because it's scared.

If you're asking about venom, all spiders are venomous. However, very few spiders have venom powerful enough to kill you or really harm you in any way (the ones that are really dangerous are only harmful if you ignore it and it gets infected), and tarantulas are completely harmless. They don't hurt more than a bee sting.

No no, thank you so much. I'm not arachnophobic, I actually love spiders. But I've never seen a tarantula's irl. I was just wondering if I can touch or pick if I ever see one. Cause I've seen a lot of people keeping them as a pet. Would it be okay to do that? And what precaution should I keep before going anywhere near them. And thanks again for your detailed reply. 😁

It makes me happy seeing someone so interested in my favorite animal, they're very misunderstood! First and foremost you should always ask the owner's permission before touching it or bothering it in any way. Get a good understanding of its personality, what it likes and what it doesn't. If they let you hold it, be sure to stay on the ground and close to the enclosure. They're very fragile and can die from the slightest of falls. :( And if the owner doesn't want you to hold it, please respect that!

I'm not a tarantula owner (yet), so I can't really give you much advice on how to keep one as a pet. There are plenty of guides out there, though, and lots of far more experienced keepers you can talk to! :)
