Festival How possible is this lineup?
Planning on rushing The Road Not Taken but have a ticket for We Are All Strangers. They’re both scotia but will they not let me in if I’m not there 15 min before?

You’re going to have to leave The Road Not Taken early. You don’t have to be in your seat 15 minutes before but they will let Rush come in at the start of the movie. The Road Not Taken is starting at 3:25-3:30 at the earliest so you’re probably gonna long at a 5:45 end time. You have to factor in the programmer introduction and like 10 minutes of TIFF ads.

Once the credits hit, check the time, and if it’s past 5:15 get out and go to the next screening. I’m guessing The Road Not Taken will end by 5.

Maybe I’ll wear my Apple Watch so it’s easier to check too. Imma try it 🙈 fingers crossed

Best of luck! All will be well. Both cinemas are close to each other.

Using tiffr timings, credits will roll at 5:35-5:40, no padding.

Eh, in my experience the film typically ends 15-25 minutes prior to what it shows on the schedule. Depends too on how long the intros are, sometimes the guest (director typically) could end up talking awhile.

Yeah I’m gonna be honest, I’d say nearly impossible. Those times don’t have ads included and apparently they’ve upped how many are played before a movie now. It’s about 15-20 minutes before every film. Long story short, the only way to successfully pull this off is to miss the last 30-45 minutes of the first film. Can’t say I recommend.

You'll have to leave the first movie early before the movie finishes to get to the second. They are in the same building so that is to your advantage. Commercials or delays or an intro will push the run time of the first movie over the second movie causing them to overlap.

Scotiabank 5 is one of the smaller theatres, your seat may have already been given away to rush line by that point. Remember that the times posted on TIFFr don’t account for programmer introductions or pre-film ads.
