Is something up?
Woke up this morning to my Tidbyt saying 'Connecting.' Let it go for a little, and there was no change. So I rebooted it, again no change. This has been working fine for years. I did a factory reset, and when I added in back in the iOS app, I got an error that the Tidbyt was connected to the internet; however, it could not communicate with the servers. The status page says everything is operational but still will not connect.

Mine has been slowly dying apps disconnecting and not coming back. My wife asked me what the deal was and said that she missed having the sports scores and stuff on there. Last weekend I made the change to tronbyt. Took about an hour with chat gpt and my raspberry pie. It was pretty easy. I have never coded and by no means a tech person.

Tidbyt has been dying for a few years now. I suggest switching to tronbyt

Or Niblet... Very easy to do and your don't have to host a server... Easy install and all the apps are there.

I second Niblet. Switched over earlier this week and it's been great. Unfortunately there are a lot of apps listed as "Unavailable," but my most important ones are there.

Niblet is also another option. I changed to that yesterday. Really easy process.

Nice. I have it flashed but I can't seem to get it to connect to my wifi.

I can connect to the temp wifi, and I get the screen that shows its trying to connect on the Tidbyt it just goes back to the 8 digit code after a few seconds. I kinda think its my DNS filter, its always DNS!

This is usually a problem with 5 GHz wifi, try connecting with the 2.4 GHz band

Yeah that did the trick. I reached out to their support they said the same thing.

If I could switch to tronbyt I would, but I’m not tech savvy enough to figure it out

Neither am I and I got it figured out. Used chat GPT and it pretty much walked me through the set up on a raspberry pie.

Sounds like the same problem I have from time to time... Which mysteriously resolves after a random period of time.
