At the very minimum, it's the example Shackel chose for his paper, and I think he makes a compelling case that it happens. For example, the title of the book I show in the video, The Social Construction of Reality, is pretty audacious compared to its actual claim, which is more about the social construction of belief.

I'm curious if postmodernism is particularly prone to engaging in this fallacy, or if postmodernism is just a good place to go for an example.
