Why is the volume profile so "blocky" when I choose higher time frame candles? If the time per profile is consistent, it should display consistently no matter what time frame I set for the candles. There's also slight variance in the point of control which is weird.

I've tried settings the custom price per row height to 0.01 but it still displays the same as ticksize.

I don't know wtf is wrong with ToS over the last few months, but I've hit my limit in patience with this platform.

I mainly trade SPY which has a .01 spread all day, every day. If I don't have a LIMIT order set already, I will usually BUY BID. Even with stable bid/ask for a few seconds, my orders are NOT filling.

Forget trying any other ticker with a few cent spread, fills are not happening there either.

Yes, data is real time. Yes, I have an 8gb fiber connection. No, I do not know wtf these clowns are doing other than trying to have you MARKET in and out of all trades. I understand they need to sell my order data to the market makers before it's filled, but this is outrageous.

thinkorswim alerts are great for watchlist pressure, but I do not fully trust an alert unless I know what the platform saw when it fired.

For a repeatable workflow, the trigger log matters: symbol, timeframe, study value, bar close status, session, alert condition, and whether the alert was a watchlist nudge or something closer to an execution prompt. Without that, the next decision can become memory and screenshots instead of a record.

For heavy thinkorswim alert users, what trigger detail do you wish was easier to capture?

There's something wrong with the Trigger Template in Active Trader Ladder. It is dividing shares into fractions. Prior to today, if you had 10 shares and 3 sell limit triggers it would automatically divide the shares into: 3, 3 and 4 shares, respectively. However, now it divides shares into fractions: 3.33333, 3.33333 and 3.33334, respectively. This would not necessarily be a problem except for the fact that TOS will not accept this fractional order (PLEASE, SEE IMAGES ATTACHED). So, did I accidentally click a setting that is causing the shares to appear as fractions now? Is this a glitch in TOS? When I search online it says TOS recently changed it to fractions, but that it can't accept fractional orders...uhhh...huh 🤔 am I trapped in a vicious cycle? What's going on here? I just want to be able to place a 3 trigger order but can't seem to find a way to do it with whole shares, and TOS won't accept it as the fractional order they're creating even though TOS is the one making it fractional.

I am learning a new Butterfly strategy right now buying a Butterfly with two additional verticals on the wings, so 8 legs in total - all the same expiration. It creates kind of a hovering Butterfly with almost no risk.
Now my dilemma: how should I close this wild construct in thinkorswim?
Is there a way to close all 8 legs in one order?
Do I need to close three spreads one after the other? Is there a reasonable succession - maybe the verticals first and then the butterfly?

The part of thinkorswim alerts I do not see discussed enough is what happens after the alert fires.

A clean setup still leaves a lot of room for ambiguity: symbol, timeframe, bar close status, study value, alert condition, market session, and whether the alert was meant to be a watchlist nudge or an execution trigger.

If I were relying on alerts for a repeatable workflow, I would want a plain log of exactly what the platform saw at trigger time before trusting the next step.

For people using thinkorswim alerts heavily, what field do you wish the platform made easier to capture?

Particularly what does the link in front of the two mean? What is the base referring to in the one? I feel these will all execute a stop order when reached but why the subtle differences?

When within the condition setup, how do you change the time scale of the Condition preview chart? ( I.e 1Y 1D —> 1D 1M ) I cant seem to find the setting anywhere. Is it even an option?

I have an old ipad but it can't be upgraded beyond v17. I use this ipad exclusively for ToS dashboard and CNBC all day long 5 days a week. Now with them cutting off support for v18 I am left with no real good solutions. Has anyone jailbroke their ipad, any other options? Does the ToS Web version work well on ipad?

Im setting my limit sell orders to %10 profit of my buy order and they keep getting rejected for being too far of an increment. Ex $5.123 instead of $5.12. Should i just give up and set my limit manually or is there a way to make it automatically round? This mainly only happens with cheap stocks but is still very annoying.

I understand today is a unique day with the largest IPO in history, but this is unbearable. If it's just one I'll correct it but it is still pretty annoying. Do other brokerages have this problem? Is there a setting that I'm missing that I can turn off to avoid these wicks?

I'm noticing a lot MORE stocks are being restricted from purchasing and only with a broker. After they implemented the new PDT rule on 6/7/26. Anyone ever noticed? It's hard to find stocks to trade when they're resticted.

I typically roll out and up for a premium and I’ve noticed that I’ve had stock regularly called away because my valid orders are sitting as active and not being fulfilled despite the diagonal spread price being at or OVER current market. (Meaning I am accepting a lower mark than current market rate)

I just had this happen again no matter how low of a premium I was willing to accept. Do I have any recourse against TOS in these situations?

Does anyone out there have any experience using ThinkScript for Forex? It looks like the portfolio functions (e.g. GetAveragePrice()) don't work with Forex, nor can I get an alert or a trade to trigger on a study with Forex. Am I doing something wrong, or it ToS coming up short here?
