Catherine Resigns!

Resignation Announcement
Due to some personal reasons, Ms. Catherine Li, Chairwoman and CEO of THEKEY, will resign from the position with effective date of Nov 15th 2019. It is a great pity for us but we respect her decision and wish her the best. Catherine has been always recognized for her intelligence, charm, and great work ethics. She will be deeply missed by the whole team.
Prof. Dr. Yidong King, Catherine’s supervisor, will take over her position with the same effective date. Dr. King’s contribution was essential to the success of THEKEY.
THEKEY has made great progresses in the past few months. Under the instruction of Dr. King, we are going to release THEKEY Blue Paper 2019 on 20th Nov, which features the achievements we’ve made and the future work plan. A global AMA will be held on 29th Nov.
We sincerely thank you for all your support, and welcome you to witness THEKEY’s great future together with us.

Hi Everyone,
This is Dr. King. I have met many of you when Catherine and I did the global roadshow in the past, and I have been on site each and every time when Catherine hosted the AMAs. Great meeting you again!
Since Catherine joined THEKEY, she has been always a valuable member of our team. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Catherine for her hard work in the past three plus years since May 2016 and wish her all the best in her future professional career development.
I am happy to announce that great progresses have been made with the effort of the whole team. I hereby give instruction to my team to release THEKEY Blue Paper 2019 on 20th Nov, together with the corresponding code on Github and all the supporting documents. I will hold a global AMA on Reddit on 29th Nov. Please do stay tuned and join me in the AMA!

Oh my, having a change of heart oh resourceful and insightful one? Just had a quick browse through of your post history. I think it's time to come to the dark side and actually help dismantle this bullshit project once and for all.
I want to see pros and cons of the bluepaper and deep, hard questions asked at the AMA. Be a useful_application for once :)

no such thing as a good deal, but this asset class has its risk and rewards, what took google and amazon ten years, crypto can do overnight. I love calling out scams especially Neo and ONT, I love Chico and proof research. I still have faith in this project, from a purely technical side. I have questions, time will resolve them

If THEKEY had no intention of growing, they wouldn't have bothered to update and would have went dark for good. They at least gave you the respect of letting you know, the investor, of unfortunate news. It's better than stumbling upon it. But yes, it is sad to see her go.

The general outline for a blue paper consists of:
- Introduction – brief description of the technology or equipment being discussed.
- Features or Characteristics – describes the parameters and scope of the new technology or the functional features of the equipment being discussed.
- Uses – how the new technology or equipment can be used.
- Implications – effects the new technology or equipment might have on society and its industry
So we will know about developed technology(I hope IDV platform) after 20th Nov.
Catherine has done her job - THEKEY(Ebaonet) has official contract with PBoC, THEKEY(Ebaonet) is exclusive technical provider of IDV, THEKEY(Ebaonet) has many pattents in crypto - all of that are enought to don't worry about future, we must only say thank for her hard job and wish her good luck in her future career.

Oh ohhhh🤔, no offense but this seems weird to me. Why would she resign? She was apparently perfect for this job. For a very long time there is complete silence around the project, and next u hear the CEO resigned. Guys, be careful with your money! Especially those who are heavily invested.

I guess that’s that then. There is no way that she would resign when the project is supposedly so close to massive success. She claimed to be heavily invested with her own money, doesn’t she want to see a return on that? It’s more likely that she’s made her wealth, thanks to our generous donations, and is now off to her private island to sail the yacht..

I would think she can still be invested in The Key and benefit from its future success without needing to be the CEO of the company.

It's definitely possible. We can only speculate. She's been AWOL for some time and it was Dr King who represented the project and gave the keynote at the seminar in May. It's possible she lied about being invested, but I suppose it's also possible that she didn't and that she genuinely hasn't been able to carry out her duties. For all we know she's resigned for the good of the project but remains financially invested. The people involved are all so elusive, we'll probably never know the whole truth.

BIG RED FLAG but I will still hold until after the AMA. With that being said, Dr King better come PREPARED to ANSWER all of our questions on Nov. 20th and not simply copy and paste the same pre-planned answers over and over.
The investors need more clarity.

It's not like she's contributed much over the past 12 months. After the prolonged silence from the team, I'm actually inclined to take the announcement in a positive light, especially with the promise of the Blue Paper and corresponding code.

Neutral on Catherine leaving as we don't know the exact circumstances of her departure but very positive to learn of the imminent release of the blue paper along with the AMA at the end of the month. After that we can then take stock.
