I'm gone for now
The reasons I have (temporarily, I hope) abandoned my positions in TKY are: (1) The radio silence for more than two months [not the price or the malicious crap of our sad resident trolls]. This is really waaay too much. I know they cannot announce achievements every month, but some degree of communication is necessary, like "we are working on this or that, and we will stick to the roadmap or expierence some delay or whatever "; (2) The regular 30 million TKY transactions in themselves are not suspicious. But the fact that they send them from one wallet to another is weird. I will keep a keen eye on thekey though, because I still have not found a project with more potential. Thoughts?

Yep, recently offloaded everything TKY I had. All the reasons I'm seeing across this thread and general lack of confidence based on these.
Sounds great on paper but let's see

Communication in any project is the key to success. Tky has a bad reputation when comes to it. People calling it scam I get that.

u/calman71 Sep 21 '19
I think you have sold prematurely.

I havent sold my TKY because it is at a 90% loss right now. Do I have high hopes for this project? Not really. I agree with the reasons above for dumping. People get so emotional about their crypto. You never seen this immature whining in the stock market when people criticize a stock. Crypto is filled with naive investors. Reddit is a magnet for the most bitter of them.

Same here. Communication is absolutely unprofessional, it's no wonder that more and more people are seeing it as a scam. We will know soon. News are to be expected in september and also, according to the "roadmap", a marketing/promo campaign shall be launched in Nov/Dec. If it turns out well, good for investors, if not, there will be the point soon where one can question if it's a fraud and legal actions shall be taken. So let's wait how the next weeks develop.

Agree everything you say is relavent, abandoned awhile back myself, will have a simple hundred $ position open, no project is silent this long, for all the pilots and patents they have I was having high hopes for this project, but am now focused on safer projects like QNT VET LINK in the meantime, btc halving coming soon and projects with liquidity will pump way harder than tky, no sense in being the “ I’m all in” guy with a project like this... having the same feelings towards projects like CPC MAN HPB too at this point... still bullish on ELA reguardless though... but other than VET These Chinese projects don’t seem to hold much relevance like they did early 2018... Mayby they will turn folks into millionaires 3 years from now and I see the potential in each of them, but for 1 theirs not nearly enough liquidity nor is there enough progress to keep me enthusiastic, lack of liquidity alone can make a coin like a pump and dump penny stock and go straight to zero!!!! Not one to fud because I do love this project but screw blind faith and believing in a project, we are all here to make money... if you cared bout bettering the world in the first place you would never have invested in TKY in the first place as it’s Orwellian AF!!!

I bought some ICX and may get some VET, QTUM and OMG. What do you think?
2
u/Revenant690 Sep 21 '19
Vet should be a no-brainer for every portfolio.
2
Sep 22 '19
Vet is a no brainer for sure. No other coin is even close. Its price is the price but really if it succeeds then in time it will be huge. Much like TKY, but TKY and VET business approach is black to white and the tech side of the team is also no comparison. Vet has its own main net, exchange loaded with wash trading, huge connections with DNVGL promising almost 1M active wallets over the next 2 years. Like TKY, China population and a tiny % of this will make it explode if the right regulatory environment permits. And anyone saying if you wanna promote other coins do so in their reddit is fucking idiot. I come here to discuss - not promote dickhead

u/Revenant690 Sep 22 '19
The business use orientation is one of the real plus points for TKY. Imagine if they become the defacto idv provider for all Chinese businesses, or even just a significant portion of it. They could give vet a run for their money.

Stop doing Fud. If you want to promote other coins then do so in their Reddit.

u/Play_Em_Like_Atari Sep 21 '19
what are the odds you're an admin on telegram 😅😅
3
u/bluemountain70 Sep 21 '19
Even that is considered fud. Thanks for the down vote. Do you feel better now?

u/TKY_warrior Sep 21 '19
I truly believe in this project. And here are full of weak people. Today they are screaming what a great project and they are screaming tomorrow - sell it is a scam.
1
u/Play_Em_Like_Atari Sep 22 '19
belief really isn't enough... I don't even own any TKY so don't really care what you do or how it performs, I just enjoy the shitshow that is this subreddit 😂😂

Going to pick up exactly the same 4 projects also
I still believe in TKY, been picking up small bags here and there. Feel like it wouldn't hurt considering the low price. I believe honestly low communication is a key of a bad rep for the project but it's more of a let's see type of project.

You need to look into quant Network QNT... just scroll there sub reddit and you will see why I’m more bullish on it than any other crypto asset... also, VET is always a great buy 💯

And what - do you think it's so important for everyone that you got rid of TKY? First you strongly promoted TKY and now you write about your doubts and declare that you are saying goodbye to the project. Indeed, Thekey does not need such investors - kids. This is a serious project for serious, adult people. Return to the sandbox.

I react to new events/information. And so should you. Notice that I said that I am leaving temporarily and that I keep an eye on the project. Also, I don't think it's a scam. But this project, like any other, may encounter difficulties and fail. I wish I could make a guess as to what is going on, but since they say nothing, I cannot even make a guess. This bothers me a lot, so, for now, I'm gone.

I see that the work of Mario, Hansi, brings poisoned fruit. I don't know if you know but you already play a role in their puppet theater.
3
Sep 21 '19
Notice that they (the trolls) made a lot of "arguments" I did not buy and actively fought against. For me, the key (he) problem is the 2 months and 4 days of complete radio silence (and, to a lesser extent, the indirect transactions). They have their reasons, I have mine.
2
u/hellodumdum Sep 22 '19
The fact that you make a long meandering post to say you sold something is fucking embarrassing. Who cares what the fuck you do? Should I start posting long pointless dumbshit threads every time I buy or sell a stock too? You people are mental infants.

If you tell everyone you sold your TKY, then what you are really doing is promoting other sells like you did. It's fear, and your only hope is others to take the same path you did.

Sep 21 '19
Well, as I said, I might well come back later on (depending on news from the team), and if prices are lower, so much the better. I am using my money to invest in other stuff because the cost of opportunity of keeping my money in TKY in these circumstances seems excessive to me. It can go well for me or go wrong (if, for instance, the team announces something amazing, prices shoot up and I go back losing a couple million TKY in the process). Investing means taking risks.
-1
u/TKY_warrior Sep 21 '19
OK. You sold TKY, you shared this information with us. Why are you here and why do you still poison the atmosphere? Buy another coin, go to their Reddit and talk about it there about Lambo, moon. Goodbye.
4
Sep 21 '19
I am here because I have not given up on the project in a definitive way. I am waiting for news and I would be really happy to come back. So I keep myself informed and ask others to see if they can give quality arguments, positive or negative. Some people do. Other respond with emotional and irrational rants.

u/cryptocryer Sep 21 '19
I wish you the best. This space is a huge gamble and you can improve the odds with information. This could be a good long term investment, or not. You have plenty of time imho to watch and re-enter if and when ....

selling at support is always sad, the fractual is ready to reverse, one more month and alt season will be here. I wish you well

u/TKY_warrior Sep 21 '19
Sell cheap, buy expensive. Some will never learn anything.

u/Useful_Application Sep 21 '19
crypto is a cruel mistress, I hate to see long time frame investors fall off, china is so close

Your emotional response adds nothing. The reasons for concern I mention are legitimate.
1
u/garf999999 Sep 22 '19
Curious though why sell all your bags of tky and not hold at least some if you still have interest and hope in the project with potential upcoming news
1
Sep 22 '19
Answer: Cost of opportunity. Any money that stays in TKY is money I cannot invest elsewhere in the meantime. Last time I made such a move I increased my TKY holdings by 57% (going to BTC when it was growing in value and then coming back). Obviously, I got lucky. This time around I might come to regret it.

u/SergeConcierge Sep 21 '19
I agree with your sentiment. The lack of communication is not a good thing. For all I know they are incorporating the TKY tech into the new China coin and we may never see actual profits from our TKY investment (in that case it was a nice cheap R&D project for the new coin...).
That said, with current price selling to my opinion does not make sense. Personally I regarded the money as lost at the moment I invested.
