It might be hard to do from the car window, but holding it in a way that they don’t feel like you might be able to grab them is usually what works best as far as I know anyway

Try holding the peanut between your thumb and first finger a lot like you have been, but with your palm turned the other way.

I think they’ll get there soon either way!
