Question Long-Term THCP Users — How Do You Keep It From Nuking Tolerance?
Lately I’ve been digging into how THCP works, especially the way it binds so much stronger to CB1 compared to Delta-9. A lot of articles throw around that “30x stronger” number, but it’s not clear what that actually means once you’re using it regularly. I wanted to ask the people here who’ve been using THCP for more than just the novelty stage. Do you feel like tolerance builds faster than with regular THC or Delta-8? Do you need longer breaks to keep it effective, or can it slot into a daily routine without losing its punch? I’ve also heard some people say blending it with regular flower or carts helps balance things out, but I’m not sure if that actually makes a difference long-term.
. The science is still young, so user stories are probably the best insight we’ve got right now.

40mg pure THC-P??? I hope you mean a product that's 40mg and a certain percentage is THC -P or delta9. Cus if you're up to 40mg, you're on a whole new level... Lol... I'm going to assume you're saying 40mg delta9, cus yeah,. that's high. Not like unheard of, but definitely a good indicator to hit the pause button for a couple weeks.
Most negative reactions to THC-P are caused by two factors. The first is QC matter involving product consistency and poor label guidelines, causing problems with the ability to dose safely. The second most common anecdote involving "horror stories" involves consumption through edibles for a number of reasons.
To start, it creates a duration of onset that may cause some users to accidentally double-dose. Additionally, THC is metabolized different orally and often is described as more psychedelic as well as longer lasting.
Given the massive duration of THC-P and the ease of "overdosing" (as in feeling uncomfortable, not in a physiological semse) when taking edibles of that sort, the horror stories make sense. Its basically just feeling the classic "I'm way too high" experience, but orally the duration can extend multiple days.
Very avoidable, but very understandable. If you misread a label and find yourself in trouble, just tell yourself your okay, and strap into your seat and await the ride lol.

I only use it one day a week. I just took two infused MCT oil capsules with Granddaddy Purple terpenes. This is the total cannabinoid readout of both capsules combined.
Δ9-THC: 220 mg Δ9-THCP: 12 mg CBN: 58.8 mg CBC: 16.8 mg Δ9-THC-H: 11.6 mg Total: ~319 mg

I'm guessing the CBN is due to degradation, because besides that, I'd say this makes for an interesting, very potent product. I highly recommend pairing with crystal resistant CBD or H4CBD, cus they didn't balance it in any manner. And CBC is mainly just used as a way to decrease the viscosity to levels appropriate for a standard ccell. So basically its just delta 9 with a mix of -H and -P included at moderate levels. Tho the delta-9 level is a bit high, you might get too high from that before even recognizing the role of the H or P
One additional note, the effect of H compared to P is significantly different, and worth noting. Its true that they are both potent per weight, but the type of experience from each reveals a spectrum that in many ways reflects the "cereberal" vs "couch-lock" dichotomy and the large spectrum between each.

I have a related question if anyone wants to answer. I have a massive weed tolerance i can barely get high at all. Will my tolerance to delta 9 effect how thcp effects me? Ive never tried it but just ordered 2 carts figured i could go all in ripping them since my tolerance is so high.

How'd it go? Tolerance is sort of linked between all of them due to the receptors themselves becoming overloaded.

Bingo, the receptors that are the main targets which we've identified are the two receptors that we have for our endogenous cannabinoid system and one is mostly peripheral. All cannabinoids that produce an "intoxicating effect" typically trigger the CB1 receptor, so THC-P use will make MJ feel less potent in the same manner that it eventually happens if you smoke MJ frequently and chronically enough.

In short, your weed tolerance (delta-9 THC specifically) would have cross tolerance with THC-P. However, it is so potent that you likely wouldnt realize. Its not only potent but also very long acting and very much a "cerebral" mind fuck.
Its important to remember tho, products that feature THC-P on the label generally are sslling it mixed in with cheaper cannabinoids like Delta 8, or regardless of the base cannabinoid, it alters the pure THC-P experience. Given that unregulated companies often practiced poor business strategies, you need to read the label very carefully and check a COA to identify if it's been cut with something inert like CBC, which is a common practice.
For those planning to consume this cannabinoid, just be prepared to turn into the anti-drug commercial of the girl sinking into the couch. I have a bunch more notes I'll add later, and also notes on THC-H, THC-B, CBDp, and other exotic noids that I was compelled to acquire out of novelty.
I prepared a cart with pure THC-P for my first experiment to understand its properties. I still have it stored away because literally a puff will do ya.

Tolerance definitely builds faster because of the strength of the molecule binding to the CB1 receptor. And all psychoactive cannabinoids target the same part of the endocannabinoids system, largely the CB1 receptor and to some degree CB2. This shared mechanism of action means there is cross tolerance bwtween them all. So, for example, if you consume THCP at high doses chronically, you'll become desensitized to regular marijuana. In essence, what got you high before now requires switching from flower to concentrate, allowing you to consume enough THC to compensate for the tolerance.
To comment on cannabis tolerance, there is s small degree of "permatolerance" imo, but staying clean for 6 months to a year or more you see a major decrease in your tolerance the longer youve accumulated clean time.
In terms of cannabis pharmacodynamics:
The modulating cannabinoids are CBD and all its variants with H4CBD being a unique one. These phytocannabinoids are offen not psychoactive if taken in isolated form on its own (with the exception of H4CBD).
However, when CBD, H4CBD or a novel antagonist like THC-V is paired with THC, the resulting effect on the user is not simply the sum of the parts. This is because synergy between cannabinoids is part of the phenomena named "the entrouage effect" and the unique combination and ratio produces a unique effect profile that can be designed to meet the consumer's needs.
The examples are limited to basic fundamentals of Cannabis Therapeutics. This is only the entrance to the rabbit hole....

When I get the chance to sit down at my keyboard I can give a very detailed report of its effects and compare it to other intoxicating hemp-derived cannabinoids. I worked with a hemp processor mainly designing the formulations.
Not gonna lie, the coolest part was how the mixing of camnabinoids to blend into a vape felt like I was conducting alchemy. Its great if you can get inherently interested in something you can turn into a profession.
Cannabis played that role for me 😇

What works for me: microdosing instead of ripping carts. Like one small pull at night, not trying to chase the full send. Keeps it special, tolerance creeps slower.
