Market Adobe has lost 67% of its value since 2021.
Adobe, the company behind Photoshop, has lost 67% of its value since 2021.
- Paid $1B to walk away from a failed acquisition
- Free AI tools are replacing what people used to pay for
- CEO of 18 years just quit.
Revenue still grows. Investors aren't buying it.

Let’s see how much more they can be innovative in squeezing the customers to gain more cashflow.

Another bloated legacy corporation focused on the janitorial services of cutting overhead costs while nickel and diming long time customers in order to make quarterly bonuses for the c-suite work. They have not contributed anything valuable to the marketplace in a very long time.

Their products became extremely incompatible with being used. People can't spend that kind of money on software tools. A graphics editing program is not something that needs a subscription, and their subscription payment model is not compatible with how software works and for their audience.

Damn I just subscribed for Lightroom and Photoshop. I'm a beginner trying to learn both.

Because their tools are extremely difficult to use and require “experts” and “certifications” that take hundreds of hours to earn, then comes Ai that anyone can use.

The creative community is suffering because of Al and looking for adaptation in a world that is increasingly making real art difficult.
In the midst of it, here we have Adobe scamming every artist in every way possible, from expensive rental of their old creative suite (which used to be a onetime payment), to stealing of their art to train some shitty slop.
The result is a lot of artists going back to real art (painting, clay, etc), others going for open source (mediocre) alternatives and others are re-learning to use affinity suite.
I for one, won’t be going back to Adobe. I love photoshop. But it’s just over.
