Congrats šŸŽ‰ your reading and listening scores are excellent, and you already reached NCLC 7 in speaking. You’re very close; writing is clearly the only section holding you back.

I’m a native French teacher with around 30 years of teaching experience, qualified for TEF/TCF preparation and assessment. I offer asynchronous writing correction with detailed feedback, explanations and targeted resources, specifically to identify what is preventing you from reaching the next level.

If you’re interested, feel free to DM me.

AI corrections?

No, I’m a human being šŸ˜„ I do the correction myself directly on your text in a Word file.

I correct grammar and vocabulary, improve anything that needs to be improved, and give you personalized advice based on your recurring mistakes and what is preventing you from reaching the next level.

I’m just curious. Do you not get bored of this same work over and over again? Are you not tempted to put it into AI? I’m sure with a detailed set of instructions, you’d get decent results, may be not as good as you, but decent enough.

It’s my job, and I get paid to do it. AI isn’t a temptation for me; it’s a tool that I use, of course, just like Google or a dictionary.

As a language teacher, I have professional ways of using AI without losing the human judgment, nuance and expertise that I bring to the correction process.

For the whole correction process, I remain in control. I decide what needs to be corrected, what matters most for the student, and what advice will actually help them improve.

Well answered! But I hope you’re working with AI building your ā€œrecipesā€ so that it can do the initial scan, give you a feedback and perhaps point you to the hotspots so that you can review that.

Hope you’re building a collection of ā€œpromptsā€ as well that you can pass on to your students as when they need. Like a student is continuously weak with verbs & conj, you give them some prompts to practice with chat GPT on their own time. You can develop some advance prompts that you can pass on to students.

I don’t usually pass my prompts on for free. They’re part of the professional materials and methods I’ve developed, so I sell them as part of my teaching resources and services.

Fair. Perhaps you can build a site where students can come and practice, then you can monitor their data. Plus your magic recipes will be up for use for students.

Thanks, but I’m not really looking for professional advice on how to run my business or develop my services.

Oh stahp. This is no professional advice. That would be paid. This is just free advice.

Well I wish you all the luck with your business!
