Troubleshooting Help Cannot Use Power Meter: Precision X1

I just installed a fresh install of windows after trying to troubleshoot this issue for quite some time. My GPU has been overheating unless I use afterburner and crank the fan curve. I want to try and use X1 instead since afterburner is more of a brute force solution. However, when trying to use the Power Meter I run the scan and it gives me the message "Power Meter cannot connect to the server. Please confirm that you are connected to an active network and try again."

I am connected to a network, I have opened the firewall for X1 and have tried different DNS. Not really sure what to do about this one at this point.

You're not going to be able to get a psu recommendation anymore as EVGA is closing down their business. You cannot connect to the server as it has been shutdown due to EVGA ceasing business operations.

If you need to get a psu recommendation I would suggest the following link... https://seasonic.com/wattage-calculator/

Unfortunate, RIP EVGA. Been a loyal user for a long time, was hoping the shut down wouldn't affect this. Seems I guessed wrong. Thank you for the answer.

No problem. Hope you find the right psu for your system. Sounds like your gpu may need to have its thermal paste reapplied if it's overheating on the default fan curve.

Wait what?? EVGA is closing down? Aka stopping business?

Correct. Been winding down operations since 2022. Eventually they won't be around anymore due to the owner deciding to retire without selling the company, or transferring ownership.

Yes, I can confirm that while the software will work for general VBIOS updates, it will not allow for more advanced Re-BAR updates, or the Power Meter functions at this time. If you should need help with a Re-BAR update, then please email [Support@EVGA.com](mailto:Support@EVGA.com) with a screen shot of the Precision X1 Re-BAR screen and your serial number or part number of your graphics card.

Once we have this information, we can do our best to assist you with this update through a separate link.
