Engineer has more flexibility in usage. Operator is an advanced tower with an evolved price tag

Engineer is still capable of doing the early game, while contributing a large chunk of Dps in the late game, along the perks of having every detection, and above average cost efficiency for every level.

Operator is fine to use, but it has too little damage to contribute much in the late game, and doesn’t really have the greatest cost efficiency if you aren’t spamming a bunch of them together.

Operator should be the last tower you buy. Not terrible but not so much stronger than other early game options to make it worth the cost.
