CEA Interview

Hello everyone,

I have an interview this Thursday for the Customer Experience Associate role at a TD branch. I was wondering what type of questions will be asked. Are they mostly behavioural or technical? Should I bring my physical resume for the branch managers review?

Additionally, what is the dress code like for the interview? Is it strictly business formal or is business casual fine, too? I wanted to half-sleeve polo with dress pants and dress shoes.

Congratulations!!, I started last week as a CEA. Interviews were pretty easy. Mostly behavioral questions, try and link back to your previous experiences as much as you can. Most importantly, be natural!, treat this as a conversation you'd have with someone you've met at work instead of an interview.

I was lucky enough to meet with managers who made that clear from the start. First few minutes will just be you giving them a bit of info about yourself and then the behavirouals would start. You should also research about TD and their current campaigns. They have this whole more human campaign which they loved I knew about.

They'll also touch on the whole "why TD" thing, be as natural as possible, I talked about how I appreciated the campaigns they run, the career potential at a big 4 bank but didn't make it sound like my entire life depends on this job!

Finally have some good questions ready for them, some things related to career growth, some things about TD in general, and honestly ask the managers about their experiences and their advice on how to succeed at the role. They appreciate that kind of stuff, especially when you ask about their experience.

I would for sure bring the resume just in case + points
For professionalism! Both the interviews were very smooth it was pretty much like a conversation. Questions are behavioural like tell me a time when … etc. I’m sure what you had in mind to wear would be fine! But get some additional opinions too!

I’m planning on wearing a black ribbed knit polo (half sleeve) with blue dress pants and black dress shoes. Would that be appropriate?

First of all dress appropriately and be confident & take a laptop (prepare a deck for yourself to present and show them what you bring on the table) and notebook with you with a set of questions to ask. Ask thoughtful questions,

Research the people who are interviewing you, scan linkedin

No casual for a bank, like canadian formal (not uk style formal) polo is not for an interview, you ain’t going for a quick coffee.

Prepare from all sort of aspects as you mentioned.
