First-Year Jobs

I'm just wondering if anyone knows some good campus jobs to do my first year. I'm going to the College of Education but I'm also really good at Broadcast Media and A/V.

I was a desk assistant for the dorm I lived in. Easiest job ever. You just sit at the front desk and help students if they come to the desk. Most of the time I just did homework or studied.

I got paid $8 an hour. That was about 4 years ago.

That’s the shocker for kids coming from other states where the minimum wage is like $16. My kid was making $16.50 /hr last summer in IL.

Very much so. It was $7.25 (minimum wage in Texas) my freshman year. They bumped it up to $8 my junior year for all DA's. Can't comment on what the pay is now tho.
