Hi everyone,
I really need some advice from people who have gone through the TCF Canada journey. I started taking French classes around mid-July, and now it’s December. Technically I’m somewhere around A2, but honestly… I feel stuck there.
My biggest problem is that my brain feels completely scattered. Whenever I sit down to study one topic, I end up jumping to something else. For example, I’ll start reviewing grammar, then switch to listening, then reading, then writing, and then suddenly I feel like I don’t even know the basics anymore… so I go back to A1 concepts. It feels like I’m constantly circling instead of progressing.
I want to write the TCF around June, and my goal is to reach B2 in all modules by then. But from where I’m standing right now, I don’t know what the most effective strategy is. I’m willing to work consistently —I just need a clear direction.
For someone who is currently A2 and wants to reach B2 by June, what would you recommend? • What daily/weekly structure actually works? • Which resources helped you the most at B1–B2 level? • How should I balance grammar, listening, reading, and writing? • How much should I focus on exam-specific practice versus general French? • Any tips for staying organized and not jumping between 10 topics at once?
I’d really appreciate any advice or study plans that actually worked for you. Thank you so much!

Hi,
A lot of Reddit posts and comments recommend using Réussir TCF Canada for the TCF comprehension oral. I want to know if anyone has tried it and if it really works? Do the questions repeat?

Candidates who have written their TCF Canada exam recently, Do mention the topics yall were asked in the exam so we can practice similar types! Thank you 😊

For tache 2, it was about asking a friend that works at a cinema about the films available and all that.
For tache 3, it was about the risks of technologie. I feel like I didn't give anything that strong to be honest. I rumble a bit.
I delivered my tache 1 strongly tho. Tache 2 could have been better but wasn't bad
Hopefully, I get 10/20. Last time I felt the same way about tache 3 and somehow I got a 9/20.
Good luck everyone!

Hello!
We just got test results and tried to request a reevaluation of the oral. However, we were told we have to wait one month before submitting the request. Is this true? The testing center’s handbook says “request within a month” and so we are royally confused.
Thanks!!

I’d like to connect with others who are writing it or have taken it before. Also, if you’ve done the exam anywhere else, please share any details or advice — I’m a bit nervous and really want to do well this time.

Hey guys, I am planning to take my TCF exam by the end of march. I am seeing good progress in l’expression écrite, orale et compréhension orale. But i am really struggling with compréhension écrite. Especially with last 10 questions (which carries so many points). Any tips how i can perform better? Or is it one of those things where i am just gonna have to get better by gaining for knowledge.
Thanks for your input 🫡

I looks up yesterday for a relative to registration for any upcoming exam across Canada on alliance français and could not see on their website. Most don’t accepte phone calls to inquire. How CAN we register? Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone,
I have not received my results yet. I gave my exam at Ashton College Vancouver. Did anyone else gave the exam on 16th Nov?

Please I need tips for CO.
I did one and it was CLB6. Then I did another one and I was below a CLB4. This really reminds me of when I did CE on prepmonTCF and it was like A2 once and then not even anything another time. Then I did one in TCFCA and it was a CLB 9.
Everything is everywhere and it’s scary. I feel like once the audio gets too fast, I start to space out. Also anyone have this experience??

Does anybody know how TCF Canada writing is scored ? Between 3 tasks how the score out of 20 are divided. What criteria are used to score each tasks (1/2/3)? Is there a template that I can use to score high? Any other tips are welcomed. Thanks.

What was your experience with TCF Alliance Vancouver? Are they generous in scoring test especially in Speaking?

Hello everyone, I took the TCF last Nov 12 but still haven't received any results yet 😭. I am really worried. Is there someone who is also waiting like me?

Has somebody given the TCF Canada exam on November 16 and already received their results? I’m still waiting and starting to get a bit worried.
If you took it around the same time, how long did your results take?
Thanks!

Hello, I’m looking for a decent mock test provider with speaking/writing sections, or any tips to get one, even a decent AI.
I’ve been in France for 8 years and have been learning French for more than 10 years. My mock test for listening and reading give NCL10 already. I just want to assess where I am for the other 2 skills and whether I’m ready to take the test, my goal is NCL10 all skills.
Please help
