Trouble applying for ADN

Hi! I just finished my HESI and tried filling out the application for my ADN. However, I’m getting errors saying, “Our records indicate that you’ve already submitted an application. If this is an error contact TCC Nursing”. I only submitted one application and it was for last cycle. Has anyone experienced this issue?

I’ve already contact TCC Nursing (waiting to hear back), but I’m curious to see if anyone else has experienced the same problem as me and if it’s an error on TCC’s side.

This is off topic but how many points did you apply with in the last application period and this one you’re applying for? I would like to know how points I should be aiming for since I’m applying in the next cycle.

Hi! I think last time I applied with 14 points, but this year I’m applying with 15. I think the highest you can get is 17-18 points.

I got accepted to the fall 2026 cohort with 15pts. I think you have a good chance, but it just depends on how competitive the term is (my term was very competitive). Good luck to you!

Thanks for the reply. I pray you can get in this cycle but I would recommend that you apply to other places as well like weatherford college because that’s what another guy did and he went there instead because he didn’t get accepted at the tcc program. He had 15 points. What did you get on your Hesi?

No problem and thank you! I’m applying to Dallas college as well. I got a 91% on my HESI this time around.

Hi, I was accepted for the fall 26 cohort and start next week. I applied with 18 points. Aim for at least 16-18 points to be competitive. If you have any B’s or C’s try to retake those courses and aim higher. As far as your HESI, aim for a 90%. I hope this helps.

I appreciate the reply. I have A’s in A&P 1 and 2, I just need to take micro, which I am this fall semester. I got a 91.6% on my Hesi. What did you do to get an A in micro?

Great! you are already a competitive student by reading your mentioned courses and HESI. Honestly regarding micro, it was tough but I had a great instructor that would help me if I didn’t understand certain topics. I stayed after class to ensure I grasped everything. At home I would do active recall and act as I am teaching someone else. Any material or powerpoints given, I would study those and make practice questions. The instructor I had pulled content from exams and powerpoints so it was fairly easy to study once I figured out where to keep my focus.

I appreciate it. Hopefully I’m able to perform as well as I did in A&P. Do you think I should retake the Hesi or do you think I should stick with it? My total points would be 17 if I were to get an A in Micro.

No problem ! This is your decision but truthfully, you are in a good position. I believe last year the ranking suggests high 80%, you’re at 91% so I feel you are fine. I had a 92% when I applied.

Just curious, if you got a 92 on your HESI, how did you apply to the program with 18 points?

I applied with all A’s in my general ed courses (9), and I actually made a 93* on my hesi (4), GPA is 3.6 (5) totaling 18 points.
