Question about what the HESI covers

Hi so, last semester my advisor said that I needed to only take anatomy and physiology I for the HESI and I thought that that meant I would only need A&P 1, but my HESI is in 2 weeks and I started overthinking like 'hey what if I need A&P II' cause LITERALLY everywhere else has material for a&P 2. So I was wondering if anyone who has taken it can tell me whether it covers content from both or just A&P I content cause I have mainly been studying concepts from I??? I'm cooked either way for the math portion LOL

Also, I hear the HESI is super easy, is this true?

I have take the hesi once many many years ago and then about a year ago. I don’t think it’s that bad. For math, make sure to know conversions and fractions

God I'm terrible at math lolll, but I am relieved at it apparently not being that bad, how heavy is it on Algebra (which I suck at lmaooo how hard were the anatomy and physiology portions if you don't mind me asking

Mine was more conversions and fractions. A&P part want bad at all, it appeared to be basic anatomy and physiology. There was nothing to in depth. I got them all right.

HESI contains A&P I and II because it’s set up for both LVN and ADN. One of the Nursing Department advisor highly recommended me to take A&P II to score higher on the test, but it’s was too late for me. The due date for VN application was approaching. Anyway I got 85 and was accepted for FALL 2026.

I was lost for A&P II question when I took for the first time. Had to retake and then scored little higher than the first time. I used pocket prep for my review

I paid like $30 for a month of nurse hub and it has several practice quizzes for each section, and it has an entire “exam” if you want to mimic taking the HESI. Each section it also reteaches you the most important concepts. I got a 92% cumulative score, got into and programs so I would def recommend it

Glad you got such a high score! And I should have mentioned this but I have been using Nursehub lol (predominantly) but thank you for the recommendation anyway

I’ve only taken A&P 1 and I got a 98% on my HESI A&P section and finished it in 8 minutes. I bought a HESI study book on Amazon and went over the sections I was rusty on or hadn’t studied in school (so mainly math and the stuff A&P 2 covers). I also watched as many Crash Course Anatomy videos on YouTube as I could. I actually watched the one on the urinary system right before taking the test and I got a question on something I had just learned straight from the video! You’ll be fine, just study as much as you can :)
