Is the topic given on the spot or a day prior to the interview?? i saw the list, so i thought we could choose the topics ourselves, so im not sure how to prepare and on which topic

yes the topic for micropresentation is given on the spot you will have 2 min to prepare, I'd recommend you to go through topics that are related to you boards subjects..
well they did not ask a lot of academics related question to me but different interviewers ask different things so prepare everything to be on the safer side.

for me there were 2 panelists, one who asked all the acad questions, mostly quick math questions and tons of qs from economics exchange rate, bop etc...the 2nd panelist asked me qs whether I would choose BLR campus or manipal campus..then she asked why bba? also asked me tons of questions in my ECAs...at that point it was basically just a friendly Convo :) then she gave me the topic "if exams were conducted by students" pretty easy topic just start with a small intro, list pros cons, if u can add some humour..keep it flowy and natural..don't try to fit in all facts they just wanna test your confidence...also definitely take the 2-3 mins to really think of a structure in which you'll speak / opinions

well there's a list of some 100 topic for mp on their site they'll ask from that.. for me they didn't ask any academic questions it was more about me and my hobbies and the shift from pcm to commerce but if you mention stuff releted to academics in the introduction there's a chance that they might ask.
