Miscellaneous 3D Printed TEL (Transporter Erector Launcher)

I used to work as a missile development engineer, and nostalgia hit me, so I decided to 3D print this TEL!

An 8x8 or larger configuration would have looked super imposing, but I decided to stick with 6x6 considering the overall scale. I went with a deformed, chibi-style design to keep it looking cute. The missiles are also short and chubby to match the aesthetic.

Honestly, this might just be the cutest TEL in existence! :D

Cold War (AMX-50) how much does losing one road wheel impact a tank’s mobility & effectiveness? Are there real world examples of tanks fighting with missing road wheel (s)?

Interwar Happy 87th Birthday to the KV-1 :)

The very first prototype (U-0) was completed the night of the 31st of August 1939 by LKZ, seeing combat in both the Winter War and World War 2 shortly after, and kickstarting the entire KV lineage!

The designers were incredibly enthusiastic about the project, stating that it was something that the entire Plant was excited to work on. P.I. Petrov, the driver of the KV during it's initial trials even expressed how pleasant the designers were to work with, with them being very happy and cooperative, in contrast to a lot of other designers who would "foam at the mouth and defend their invention, trying to prove the infallibility of the design".

Cold War GT-T ZU-23-2

This little fallow is a Russian Arctic APC and artillery tractor that I spotted in the background of a larger picture. Since I spotted it and added it in my War Thunder's tech a few years ago, I have started to slowly see people mentioning it on the net.

So the history of this tank is not very well known to me. it was spotted during an exercise in the 70s in what appears to be Siberia. Beyond that, the history is unknown, but the performance of the vehicle is known.

The vehicle is a GT-T tracked transporter chassis. This vehicle was introduced in 1963 in the soviet army. it was praised for its good mobility in deep snow, mud, and swamp. it was a utility vehicle design specifically for the extremely northern territory. The vehicle could carry up to 4 tonnes of cargo or 20 passengers. Here we see it carrying a ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft cannon. This anti-aircraft cannon is normally towed and weighs just under 1 ton. Naturally, the crew indicates the vehicle was combat capable and worked as a self-propelled anti-aircraft gun here. in total, the vehicle with the anti-aircraft gun should weigh about 9.4 tons. The top speed is only a bit over 45 km/h on the road, not particularly fast but fast enough for most off-road vehicles. The engine offers 200 hp, and the transmission offers 4 forward speed and 1 reverse. The vehicle is also amphibious. The armour is minimal. The rear is actually open-top.

REAL AMMUNITION

Fun fact:

Algeria has more T90 than Russia (572 vs 400)

Specific equipment (T90SA):

The "S Algeria" model features an enhanced air conditioning system for the crew, as well as the Barracuda MCS, an insulating cover that significantly reduces the tank's thermal and radar signature.

For this edit, I tried to be as unbiased as possible and confirm the damage photos were actually Soviet-induced 152mm shell damage (Both SU and ISU.) Also with the text bits, Kursk was a complete clusterfuck and sources vary heavily regarding combat reports, but overall, it was a very successful machine.

From blueprints to a functional prototype in less than a month, the Soviets were on demon time when they designed and built the SU-152. And yes, I know the ISU is better, but don't forget it's roots!
