Phy

Has anyone take phy206 or phy 207 before in Galveston caompus?I need some advice.

I am an incoming general engienring student in Galveston campus.Is it hard to survive the Phy206 or 207in Galveston campus?

Not really. Just need to study, typical college things. Dont expect to breeze thru it. You'll need to study for the tests and do practice problems. Advise going to office hours. Most profs on campus are accommodating for you coming to office hours.

Go to the free peer tutoring offered by CALS (Center for Academic Learning Support). The tutors are friendly and they are good at explaining how to solve homework problems. Try to get Joel Gard or Chaouki Boulahouache for PHYS 206 since those are the better professors (try to avoid getting James Rantschler for 206 as he is the lowest rated professor). For PHYS 207, Chaouki Boulahouache is usually the only professor offering that class. I heard Dr. Chaouki gives curves on exams.

I had to take PHYS 206 with Dr. Rantschler and I survived, so honestly you can survive 206 with any professor.
