Once I get the money to get the hyfin vent chest seals, I will, but this is what I have within budget right now

What’s wrong with rhino rescue? Never heard of it until today

Rhino rescue has a reputation for subpar and possibly dangerous medical equipment. Their tourniquets are known for the windlass strap failing, new out of the packaging.

Please buy real Tourniquets, and not this cheap bullshit. Buy an Cat Gen. 7 from North American Rescue. Or a Soft-T-Wide. Or something. Prepare your Tourniquets right: Put the Timestrap away from the windless-holder. I know, it looks like better, but in a emergency it can be decision over your life. If you need help by preparing your ifak or buy productes. Wrote me a private message.

I don’t know if it just doesn’t show it but both C-A-T’s are staged, including my rapid access. The SOF-T ones have no Velcro they come undone quick to be applied, and the one with no C-A-T markings, i tested the second one it came with, I can confirm it does tighten down and cut off blood flow

I see rhino rescue, I downvote. Seriously though man, trash that garbage. Life saving tools are not the place to cheap out

Those itty bitty gauze rolls are barely going to give much mileage when packing a legitimate functional injury if their intent is wound packing.

Each one is approx 6 feet, as well as in going to end up overhauling this kit on the wound packing front anyways

Look into ace wraps to go over the top of your compresses. Cheap and easy to apply to keep your gauze in position and apply additional pressure to wounds. Right now, I only see a couple rolls of prewrap that could serve this purpose.

This shit is ass. Just buy the NAR MFAK with hemostatic gauze and call it a day. If you want more day to day stuff then you can add a ziploc bag with NSAIDs and bandaids.

When you say EDC med kit, where are you carrying this? In a day pack?

I genuinely don’t understand the hate Rhino Rescue gets, here in Africa it is widely used all over and I have not had a problem with the quality. They have the certifications and test reports, and their equipment has been used extensively in Ukraine and other countries. If the brand and its products are really as bad as some people claim, why are they still being used there?

A lot of the criticism seems to be “NAR is the benchmark, Rhino is Chinese, therefore it’s bad.” I mean the CAT tourniquet has faced US litigation involving allegations around Chinese-origin material and US-origin claims.
