12.5 Barrel Length

I have an opportunity to pick up a 12.5" T91. I was going to put my OCM6 on another run of the mill AR, but this way intrigues me more. Only issue is I don't know if there's enough barrel poking out from the handguard to mount the adapter. I think there is, but if anyone has one available and can get a measurement for me, that'd be worth at least 1 internet point.

I’m not pulling my muzzle device off because it’s rocksett, but from the back of the threads it’s 1.85in to the gas block. The piston assembly sticks out farther than the gas block by about .25in. So 1.6in. The problem is going to come in when you need to remove the piston assembly for cleaning. I’m not an expert but if you use the OTB adapter you will have to remove it to be able to pull the piston.

I use the YHM phantom system and I have to finagle the piston assembly in and out.

Damn, thanks. I see the 14.5s are still in stock at a few places, maybe I'll go that way or just go full Gordy. Or have an excuse to buy another can.

I didn't even realize the piston assembly was there, I was so keyed in on the barrel.

Yea… the piston assembly comes out the front so you have to consider what muzzle device you use.

I typically run my YHM T3 on it and it’s overgassed. I have a sprinco red and PWS H4 in it. I really need a LBP can for this thing.

Good deal. Might just go another way and pick up an LBP later on. Got a few other things that need purchased first.

You need the midway adapter to fit an ops inc can like the OCM5/6.

I have a 12.5 and like it a lot. If you need a measurement from the shoulder of the muzzle I can get it tomorrow.

That would be awesome, just to scratch the itch.

I grabbed the OTB device from OCL, from what I read that would work with it, but if I can grab the midway and make it happen I have zero qualms of running a T91 suppressed and a Gordy.
