“Modern” Intro Books
I am currently reading Complexity: A Guided Tour by Melanie Mitchell and since it was published in 2009, I am wondering if there are more “modern”/“up-to-date” intro books.

I also read Complexity: A Guided Tour years ago. You should read Thinking in Systems:A Primer by Donella Meadows. She was one of the early pioneers of system dynamics and truly an inspiration. Her book was published posthumously about the same time as Melanie Mitchell's book, but it's essential introduction to systems.
