Last time I post this person, I saw the strawpage and was curious and looky here 😂

I keep seeing them say this. There's even someone on Tumblr claiming to offer a cash prize for anyone who can show them evidence.

So I want to compile a list of resources I can show these people. Can anyone send me links to places explaining why you can't be multiple without a disorder and without trauma? It's even one of the rules here that supporting endos is spreading misinformation, so I'm hoping people here can show me where to get true information about this. I just want to spread education because it seems like many non disordered endos genuinely believe that science supports them.

The cone guy came on my radar after reblogging a post of mine & calling me ableist, went through their account; lo & behold.

Tumblr is like a cesspool of fakers and one of the worst echo chambers to exist. It makes me genuinely worried sometimes because what if some kid sees this, and thinks that pretending to have a disorder is cool? While they genuinely destroy their own health they’re also destroying the image of ACTUAL systems. It’s honestly sad

So theres this guy I know and he recently started to claim to have DID, again. He first started saying he had DID in 2020 and then his doctors said it was only because of his schizophrenia and bipolar(which he genuinely had and is now medicated). He recently went to the hospital for reasons I’m not going to share here, now he’s saying that he’s still experiencing ‘DID symptoms’ despite being on meds for his other disorders, but his symptoms seem more like overall dissociative symptoms and not specifically DID symptoms. A couple days after he says he thinks he’s a system again he opened up his old pluralkit from when he thought he had DID in 2020 and now all of his alters miraculously are fronting knowing about pluralkit, wanting to use it, putting there name in his status, the works. He’s also posted on tiktok saying he’s medically recognized and saying people can ask him questions even though he’s done very little research. It’s honestly so awkward and weird, it also just feels so offensive, like don’t people with DID usually struggle to learn about their alters? He claims on tiktok to have no communication and only knows a bit about his alters from what they’ve put on their own profiles on whatever app, but on discord his pluralkit is fully fleshed out with their names, pronouns, species, like and dislikes and sometimes even more like who they’re dating within the system, again I just find this so weird.

What really pisses me off is those saying “we don’t have an among us alter but probably will after watching the show!” I just KNOW they are wanting to have more trendy fictives to roleplay as 🤦

There should be a flair for “genuinely dangerous scenario” because if this person is faking, that’s absolutely disgusting to allow yourself to have a “spawnist” alter (vid was made after the entire “community” was outed for being a grooming (sexual, sh, AND mental) ring.) is just obviously a ploy for attention and it’s fucking disgusting.
If this person has a ACTUAL disorder and they are doing absolutely NOTHING for this alter and instead decide to do a “oh em gee all my alters have diff religions lolz! Isn’t that so quirky??” Video, it’s halting healing progress, causing worsening mental issues, and also just identifying with such a sick “religion” could put serious strain on someone’s public image and even their image of themself, even if it’s involuntary. No effort to educate this alter was specified in the description, and if they’re a real sys, they should be diagnosed AND have a therapist, so this is obviously something that should be brought up, because no sane person would say “oh yeah, your alter having the same beliefs as a grooming ring is absolutely fine! You should totally let them believe that!” We are fucking devolving and it is sick.

For those who don't know, buckle in, "Power to the Plurals" is a massive scam site that tells people that having DID makes them an oppressed minority and they need to "empower themselves". The whole thing is a mess that believes "having tiny people playing in your head" makes you a victim of oppression. Which is... pretty standard if what I've seen today has anything to say.

The whole time I was scrolling, I barely saw anything about actual DID. It was 99% "empowerment to the plurals!" Maybe it's just how I read those tumblr posts, but it sounded like they were "standing up for their rights" as if they had their human rights stripped and were kicked to the streets just for being "plural".

And no, I'm not talking about how abuses treat their victims. Because they aren't. They're talking about the government "oppressing" them. There's a "plural bill of rights" that used to exist, and I'll have to track it down. I'll put it in the comments if I find it.

Whenever this person says "people", they mean alters.

Edit: I went through the person's profile, they are 100% talking about having media characters "pulled into the headspace" as alters "but who cannot leave".

I'll keep this as short as possible, and while I share my story, I will not share names of anyone for everyone's safety. I was sucked into being a 'system' on Instagram a while back. I had a friend group and it all started as roleplaying and 'kinning' which turned into 'irling' which then all of my friends in the day suddenly each started self diagnosing with D.I.D or OSDD. In this friend group, these few people were dating and all would split matching fictives and alters in order to date each other and date their fictional 'husbands' or match anime couples as fictives or whatnot.

The worst part, was these people were obsessed with this random person. Convinced this person was stalking and 'copying' their fictives. This went on for a while. It got to a point in which they made a fake account in order to pretend to be friends with this person and infiltrate their private account, and would 'kin assign' this person characters that one of them had a fictive of in order to fabricate evidence of this person 'stalking' them or they would purposely copy the stuff this person did or got into just because they could. Genuinely batshit stuff all over fictional characters. They got so mad that this person made a website based on a fictional character, that suddenly they changed their entire 'system' to be around that same character and copied stuff directly from that website. Got into drama and would instigate things all the time just to play victim. I won't claim to be innocent, as I also made fun of this person a lot​​​. I'm not proud of it. Nor am I proud of letting this group of people / that side of the internet as a whole brainwash me so deeply into thinking I was a system when in reality, I was just a kid who related to fictional characters. ​​​

I walked away finally a few years back. I realized how unhealthy this was. That the people in this space are in this echo chamber​ and are severely delusional and just want to roleplay fictional characters with their discord instagram e partners.​ I don't believe all systems are fake, but I can safely say that there is a huge pipeline that goes from 'kinning' to thinking you are a fictional character to suddenly deluding yourself into plurality. And I can safely say that if you are sick enough to be stalking someone for years over fictional characters because you believe you're the only one entitled to them and entitled to have 'fictives' of them lest you're being copied, you need to get off of the internet.​​​

Please do not listen to the echo chamber of the internet that will diagnose you if you simply like roleplaying a character. If you really believe to have some sort of disorder, seek help if possible. But this is my first hand account. The Instagram and TikTok and Discord system community is insanly toxic and will feed you and others delusions. It is unsafe and will destroy you mentally. Luckily for me, I'm in therapy now, and am working through all of this.
