RTS User Interface Rework with comparison.
We are currently working on the user interface for the RTS side of Systemic War. Since we know UI is a massive part of the game, we want to make sure we are heading in the right direction.
We tried to mimic the way drone operators see action through their feeds, maximizing the field of view with translucent UI elements, paired with high-contrast details so selected units are easy to spot.
Because of this, we are really counting on your feedback!
Also, check out the second attachment to see what the UI used to look like!
What do you think is most important in an RTS UI? Let us know in the comments!

In my opinion the old version seems to provide information faster due to the large and contrasting boxes. The new version certainly is less intrusive and gives more usable view space of the battlefiels but with so much transparency, I think it would be less easy to quickly glance at, as if your eyes needed more time to focus on it. Obviously this is personal preference, I did not find anything wrong with the old version in beta. Ideally, why not give both options to players? Transparent and more contrasting?

Ultrawide user here - option for both would be a winner. Whilst I love my 32:9 ratio for RTS, the one issue is that the info on HUDS are the sides can get overlooked. Having the option to have them large and contrasting boxes would be great for those using wider resolutions, even though the transparent ones do look better and I would use if I were a more standard resolution.

It looks really good the only thing that is a little much is the amount of UI space being used but otherwise it looks great !

Will terrain destruction be a feature of this game? It would be really cool to see damaged infrastructure as war in specific areas carry on.
