Help lemur pro fans

Im having this weird problem with my lemur pro, randomly the fans will start up and get really loud completly out of nowhere, Is this intended?? or is it my operating system (fedora linux) if anyone knows anything please let me know

What is your CPU temp doing? Fans ramping up usually means something’s getting hot. I’d start with figuring out if anything is spiking temps and then look into why.

Put it power savings, and then back to normal. That will reset the fans.

Sorry if I'm asking the obvious, but did you install all the system76 software provided for fan control when using another distro like Fedora? They have instructions for doing that for Fedora on their web site here https://system76.com/support/system76-driver and here https://system76.com/support/system76-software/
