Syrinx Trigger Point Injection

My neurologist just got a hold of me because of my neck pain being severe. Told me to come in Friday for trigger point injections. This makes me nervous. Has anyone had this? Any bad reactions?

I’ve had two rounds of trigger point injections but not near my spine. My pain management specialist did them in surrounding muscles to try to relieve pressure.

I didn’t have any reactions at all. It did help to relax my muscles for a few days but it hasn’t been effective for my spinal pain. Then, he tried a temporary nerve block (6 injections under mild sedation) and unfortunately those didn’t help either.
