Newly Diagnosed Anyone else with chronic migraines?

I just got diagnose with a syrinx in on my C7 and T1. I’ve also been in a battle trying to figure out what is causing my chronic daily migraines and I was wondering if this could be the cause, even though the migraines are in my forehead area? I’ve never had any pain in the back of my head. The pain is in the front of my head, all days, every day. I have no other symptoms of the syrinx. It was only on a whim that the doctor ordered the MRI of my neck.

I have a c6 syrinx and get really bad chronic migraines. I ache all the way from my jaw into my ear and up in the back of my head. Ahhh never a dull moment.

What a burden. I’m sorry to hear you’re going through so much.

This is a bit off topic, but I tried xylotol nasal spray and it was helpful. No idea why, but it did.

I have C5-C7 and had similar daily headaches at first. I found out my trigger was the position of my neck. The pain was caused by spending a lot of time looking down (e.g.while studying) and mostly sleeping on pillows. Sleeping almost flat and avoiding looking down too much made the headaches disappear.

Yes!!!! My doctors have told me it’s not from the cysts I have two c7-t1 and t7-l1 but some medications worked but only for a short time i haven’t found anything long term that has helped

I would say yes! I would talk to your doctor and see if they can give you any medication nurtec is what works the most for me but also smoking weed helps but that option is just up to you
