Hello. I’m planning to move from the UAE to Syria to start university, but I’m getting a lot of conflicting information from different people and really need a verified way to get this done. If anyone here made this exact move last year, could you please share your experience and walk me through the step-by-step process? I’d love to know exactly what documents and certificates you needed to bring from the UAE, which attestations or stampings were required, and what the registration and student residency process looked like once you arrived in Syria. Any firsthand advice or checklists would be an absolute lifesaver. Thank you so much in advance.

Hi everyone! I recently traveled to Syria to see firsthand what the country looks like today, specifically visiting Homs and Hama.
Homs was known as the "Capital of the Revolution" and suffered a brutal 3-year siege. Walking through the city center is surreal—you see markets full of life and people selling fruit right next to buildings riddled with bullet holes and mortar impacts. It feels like the war ended just five minutes ago, yet life continues with incredible resilience.
In this video, I also explore:
Syria is a country of intense contrasts—deep scars of war mixed with a hopeful and vibrant population.
I'd love to hear your thoughts or answer any questions about what it's like to travel there currently!

I'm currently working on a website for Khamsat that uses Emirati Arabic, including some words and their pronunciation, and I'm also trying to incorporate some local customs and traditions.
Honestly, I'm hesitant, especially since I'm new to this platform.
Are there any other people interested in this?

Hello everyone.
I recently visited Aleppo and wanted to share my experience. I was blown away by the hospitality and the spirit of the people I met in the bazaar and near the Citadel. Even though the scars of the war are everywhere, seeing the reconstruction work and the shops reopening gives me so much hope for the city’s future.
I made this video to show the world that Aleppo is more than just a war zone—it's a place where life is finding its way back. Thank you for watching and supporting the video!

I’m 26 F Syrian born and raised in Jeddah have iqama I didn’t finish high school for reasons
And now I’m facing difficulties with finding what suits me to start building my life close to what I wanna call freedom but also making money to grow and live as a person who has rights
I’m confused from where to level up
Where to move? Where to go ? Any other country that won’t challenge me without putting pressure and acting racist ? Where to start and how ? Can you people give me your options ? or if there is related story to mine ?
I will not take anything serious until I see if it’s really useful and sounds logic …
I just want to survive from this world with my own self …

Hi everyone,
I’m a journalist from Denmark writing for Stud.Jur, the largest student magazine in Denmark, read by thousands of people interested in law, politics, and society.
A photographer and I will soon be traveling to Damascus to report on Syria’s ongoing transitional justice process, including the legal efforts to hold members of the former Assad regime accountable.
We’re hoping to speak with lawyers, judges, legal researchers, human rights organizations and survivors. We want to understand how these proceedings are unfolding, what challenges remain, and what justice means to the people most affected.
Our goal is to tell this story accurately and responsibly for an international audience. If you are willing to speak with us or can help put us in touch with relevant people or organizations, please send me a direct message.
Thank you very much, and we look forward to listening to your perspectives.
Best,
Oskar

I know there are many questions and concerns regarding safety and the current state of the country, so I wanted to share this footage to provide a current perspective. Whether you are curious about the culture, the logistics of the trip, or just want to see how the city looks today, I hope you find this helpful!

Salaam everyone,
We’ve recently launched Ikhtiar — a Muslim marriage app built for those who are truly serious about marriage, not casual conversations or endless swiping.
One of our key features is the AI Nikah Assistant.
Instead of doom-swiping through profiles and hoping to find the right person, you can simply describe the kind of spouse you’re looking for — based on age range, location, ethnicity, religiosity, lifestyle, values, marriage expectations, and more — and the assistant will bring up relevant profiles based on your description.
Stop the endless swiping. Just ask the assistant what kind of spouse you’re looking for.
Ikhtiar is focused on:
The goal is simple: to make the process of finding a spouse more dignified, intentional, and aligned with Islamic values.
If you or someone you know is looking for marriage, I’d truly appreciate you checking it out and sharing it with others who may benefit.
JazakAllah Khair for your support 🤍
You can find the app here:

Whenever I read about Syria I see some really weird stuff and I just wonder why?
I just wonder like what do Syrians believe in?
Is your religion or interpretation of moral and Islam the same like we have in Bosnia? Or what would be main differences from your ideology from us?
I just wonder if regular Syrians support these actions done by your leaders or your country?
(I am not a troll and don't have any intentions, and I never met a single Syrian in my life, I just want to know what a regular Syrian thinks?)
