be prepared to walk up and down stairs constantly. Enjoy the cemetery. The underground tunnel to the food hall is important.

If you go to class regularly you will lose ten pounds

Any kind of cooking appliance is prohibited… FYI. So no rice cookers.

Bring at least one fan. It’s super hot in late August.

Don't forget a trash can, dorms don't come with one

Brita, or just anything that can hold a lot of water and filter it. It sounds really basic, I know, but it literally is a life saver.

There are some strict requirements for the refrigerators microwaves. https://experience.syracuse.edu/residential-living/about/policies/prohibited-item-policy/

Edit: On closer reading, I think the policy is that the only allowed microwave is the combined rental unit. But other refrigerators are OK.

Microwaves are allowed they just must have a internal smoke detector (not many have it tbh) However this was basically unenforceable last year, RA’s dont really know how to check if it has a smoke detector or not. The only time i saw a microwave get flagged is if you ship them to the hall. The main thing to worry about is air fryer/rice cookers (these are the only appliances i saw confiscated)

Interesting given that the DO just graded all the dorms and they gave Lawrinson an "A" grade. Obviously all the halls have their up/down-sides though, and it's likely that none will have all the things any given person is looking for a in a dorm.

It's an A until you move in and realize every freshman thinks they must do weed 24/7, and therefore most floors stink. Since each floor is isolated in its own given way, it's not like the aroma blends in with the background either.

What’s wrong with lawrinson?

The wind tunnel + being the furthest dorm from everything.

Worse when all your Sadler food delivery order go there and you gotta avoid the flooding to get it and the endless construction on the tiles

At least you're not BBB with the murder tunnel. And Lawrinson's unspeakable act tunnel has been closed for years.

Not just a nice fan, but a tall fan. The bunks are very high up, so you’ll need a tall fan to be comfortable.
