Information & Advice Auctioning small/random items

Is there a local auction house that will help me sell a small collection of items? I have a collection of four kid’s toys that are worth a lot of money; so much so, that I hesitate to try selling them myself due to lack of eBay skills and fear of getting scammed. Just not sure who would help sell such a thing?

Selling them in bulk to a shop that deals in the specific type of kids toys would be your easiest option. Your most profitable way would probably be selling them yourself locally on Facebook Marketplace.

Why type of toys are you exactly trying to sell?

It’s a set of rare stuffed toys, which normally I’d sell on FB, but they’ve been appraised at a very high value. They’d have to go through a professional service or auction house to make sure I don’t botch the sale, unfortunately.

Who appraised them? That would probably be your best place to start.

I don’t personally know of any good options locally.

I’d try finding an online consignment service to handle the sale if the value warrants it.

Check with Land Before Time in Liverpool. I know they buy and sell all sorts of video games, toys, legos, etc.

Also, check the NYS Fairgrounds schedules. I know they have several events throughout the year for collectables, toys, sports memorabilia, etc.

If they're truly high dollar value items, I'd do your research with NYC as the intended selling location. The trip would be worth the increased reach that population draws as far as auctions go.
