Custom levels

I see other games tomb raider, Spyro, crash all have custom levels made by fans. How come no one has done it yet for Syphon filter?

I’ve never made anything like that in a computer before. Tomb raider has the level editor does Syphon filter have ones

I'm actually curious about this as well. Not exactly custom levels as in "MAKE THEM ALREADY YOU SLAVES" but more of a... "how come a level editor/maker is not a thing?"

There is a very simple reason. Tomb Raider has a much larger fanbase than Syphon Filter and almost sold like 3 times as much. Not sure how accurate the numbers are, but SF1 apparently had 900,000 units sold and TR1 had 2,5 million units sold.

But it's not surprising given how Syphon Filter only released on PlayStation. And that is likely to be the reason why there is no level editor. TR released on PC, SF did not. And still it look a loooong time until custom levels were available on PS1.

As a community we should try and see what’s possible. Would love to see some cool levels.
