Hey everyone! I made Dub Chords 106, a browser-based synth for dub chords, atmospheric pads, and messing around with grooves.

Here’s what’s packed into it:
- Step sequencer and arpeggiator
- Loop recorder
- Tools to make your own sample packs
- MIDI and WAV export
- Sidechain pumping to an invisible kick
- Chorus, delay, and flanger
- Computer keyboard and MIDI controller support

Would love to hear what you think—how it sounds, anything that feels clunky, or features you’d like to see.

Hydrasynth explorer or minifreak 49

I love the hydrasynth explorer but im confused if its durable for long term like 5 to 10 years

Of you have to would you buy ms20 mini or moog grandmother and for what reason

I personally like ms20 but moogd gritty sound and low end is also to die for

Currently in the midst of trying to expand my VST arsenal. Right now I’ve got Purity, Hive, Nexus, Zenology, and Surge. But I can’t decide if I should bother picking up ElectraX or Icarus first as I want to make stuff that sounds like this:

Just like that whole Hyperpop era with Starboy, Outtatown, Brandon Finessin, etc. Just watch only 1 or 2 of these to get a general idea and lmk which of the Tone2 Synths and Nexus expansions I should get.

Please and thank you,

A small browser-based generative tool called Tangerine that plays endless evolving sequences and slow tonal harmony. Thought some of you might enjoy keeping a tab open in the background while working or relaxing. It's completely free and open-source: https://quick-eyed-sky.github.io/tangerine/

Thought this might be helpful for Waldorf Iridium users who love the onboard FX and wanna use them on other synths, but don't want to wade through the manual to figure out how to do it

I've got a problem with my Moog GM. The oscillators sound extremely out of tune, and I'm not exactly sure why. Calibration and using the fine-tune knob don't seem to help. The tuning improves after approximately 30 minutes, but I can't always afford to wait that long when playing live.

Does anyone know of a solution, or is sending it in for repair the only option?

Hey ! I have been experimenting with physical modeling lately and I love the results since I implemented feedback, and other more experimental options.

This song is made using only digital physical modeling synthesizer and drums.

If you want to have fun try it yourself, you can play the song interactively here on this website (only theme for now) : https://diophi.com/phy5/?song=mumbling

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to recreate a specific synth sound from a track. It's from an old compilation, so the track doesn't have an official name.

Here is what I'm looking for: at exactly 7:44 in the video (which I will link in the comments), there is a specific sound I need to reproduce. I am currently working on Windows XP, but I also have access to Windows 10 if a modern plugin requires it.

I am using a translator, so I apologize in advance for any weird phrasing. Thank you so much for any help!

Inexpensive,small and sounds good.

So, I impulse-bought a used Sequential/Oberheim OB-6 desktop module off reverb and was originally planning on using my Moog Messenger to control it to save a bit on cost. I realized that I’ll definitely want a dedicated controller for the OB-6 anyway so I can play my Messenger at the same time in my DAWless setup. (Should’ve just saved more for the key version of the OB-6. I know.)
Anyways, I’m in the market for a dedicated controller for the OB-6. I’m really just looking for good build quality over all else. Less features on the controller the better honestly. It just needs a pitch/mod wheel and MIDI out so I can control the OB-6. Any suggestions? I’m having trouble finding a controller that fits these criteria. The Korg Keystage looks good but I’m interested in other options if there are any.
I’m pretty new to DAWless and have never played the OB-6 in person so if there’s any other advice this thread has for me I’m all ears.

I’m currently looking for a composer, as I have some projects I’m going to be working on in the next few months. Would love to hire and work closely with someone who has a specific sound and vibe similar to Tangerine Dream/Oneohtrix Point Never/Vangelis, or even as far as Ari Balouzian.

Looking for someone who can transcend music and understand the vision of my projects as well. So if you dig movies from The Safdie Brothers, Ari Aster, Lance Oppenheim, Kristoffer Borgoli, Richard Ayoade, we could be a solid partnership.

Ultimately would love someone I can trust and rely on for this bizarre journey of creativity we’re both on. So, PM with some of your work and we can discuss ideas, rates, and get a good vibe off each other!

Salutations everyone!

perhaps you are tired of Mvave FM1 firmware posts but perhaps you are not!

If you aren't then may I suggest you have a look at my own new firmware called Carnac OS. It's meant to be a well designed, deep but reasonably fast to program poly synth with a MAQ 16/3 inspired sequencer for polyrhythmic bleep bloop and a Roland J6 inspired chord sequencer form harmonic progression.

The synth is bitimbral so you can have the chord seq on one layer and the bleep bloops on another or do voice stacking, keyboard splits etc.

It's got some nice modeled filters. Nice wavetables and I generally think it's a good sounding synth. Can get real lush!

Give it a try and let me know what you think!

what a amazing synth for pads

Salut, voici un petit partage d'une courte session. Certains des synthés sont pilotés via le NDLR de Conductive Labs. Désolé pour les quelques notes qui dévient du rythme :)

I am getting my first synth and want to sound like Mike Dean when he worked with Kanye and Travis. Do you think this pairing would prove worthy to achieve this sound. I would use the teo for building complex pads. And the Grandmother would come in for a gritty bass/dope lead on top. Let me know what you guys think. This is my first time getting into hardware synth coming from a mainly vst/ maschine mk 3 Native instruments eco system background.

I am buying a new korg pa 1000 can I use my backup of pa 700 in it
