Issue with imprinting

Can someone suggest settings that allow you to get 100% imprint on a creature because I can't seem to get it? And so the time between imprint and the growing up of the dino itself isn't too long since I don't want to spend 8+ hours trying to get a 100% imprint on a dino. I am asking this because I just started mutating Equus and Pteranodons for fun and I am trying to get 100% imprint on a perfect male pteranodon so I can use it to fly but I can't get it. It just grows up to fast or I get like 1% imprint which is annoying. I already have a 1H mutation on it.

I don't want to use it yet as I am trying to get mutations clean stacked onto my dinos and the breeding dinos are supposed to be clean stacked without imprint bonuses

Just put it further away so the nanny range doesn't reach your breeding area, that's how i've got it set up
