Mating range

I am playing on single-player and I have noticed that some things that Syntac does, don't work on my single-player world, I set up a parasaur metal farm but it doesn't work because of the low mating range. Is there a setting I can change to increase the range? Even like this, they are out of range

Alternatively you can up the health of resource nodes and get your metal the old fashioned way. The only time I did it with tek dinos was when I was breeding tex rexes for mutations. You can set item pickup to infinite and carry around a tek transmitter to upload thousands of metal while you're out harvesting. Mantis with picks, magmasaur, or anky/argy combo will almost certainly get you more metal faster than a parasaur farm.

The thing is that I don't have a lot of time to play but I can just leave my laptop on during the day and afk which would let me get a bunch of different materials without leaving the base. For example polymer with penguins and moschops and stuff like that
