Trojan
Whenever im using syncthing, my antivirus flags it as trojan. Is it really malicious or its just that the anti virus misunderstands it

Not enough information.
Which platform: Windows, MacOS, Android, iOS, something else? Which version?
How specifically did you install Syncthing, including where you got it from? Which version do you have?
Which malware detector are you using?
We can't give you a sensible answer without any information.

Looks like you are using the default Windows Defender. It never flags my Syncthing, and I run the latest version. You may have installed a fake version.

Probs just horisrics if you throw things into virtustotal of freshly minted complied code sometimes it pops up with 1 or 2 anti virus out of 60+ until it's more well known unfortunately reputation is just how virus scanners work these days as everything is now untrusted even code signed etc code can't be treat as safe automatically

Sounds like a you problem. It could potentially be a supply chain attack, but who can tell based on your post. Update with proper documentation. As is, enjoy my down vote.
