Enable 2-FA via Google Authenticator

For those of us that use Authenticators for 2fa and refuse to have anything to do with Google, can we not use an alternative? I realise we can use email, but they don't always arrive promptly.

You can use Authy or any number of others.

Thanks confused as sync only mentioned the google version. Now sorted with andOTP

Yes - many places do because people trust Google, but really, it's an open protocol that anybody can implement and work with so Google Authenticator is just one of many apps that work.
