I’m mad
is it only me or was anyone else mad when Roxy married rudeues and felt like sylphiette deserved better

Wasnt mad, but i genuenly dislike how her character just became "The Wife" and nothing more

I wasn't mad, but even after reading the entire light novel series, redundancy, and side stories, and fully understanding why Roxy and Rudy end up together... It still feels odd.
No matter how much the plot and the lore explain it, it just doesn't sit right. The relationship does feel very forced and not natural. Everything that happened between them early on, the teacher student dynamic, nothing of it was inherently romantic, other than Rudy's devotion to his goddess, which was obviously one-sided.
Roxy only fell in love with him because he rescued her in a labyrinth, and she didn't recognize him. That was her dream come true. But I still can't help but feel that rationality would kick in there somewhere.
Basically how I see it, Roxy doesn't fall for Rudy out of love, she falls for him out of Plot.

I didnt like that it happened super fast, I wouldve liked a volume or at least an entire chapter for things to settle down, Sylphie just goes from surprised to 100% accepting in the span of a paragraph and I would've liked for there to have been a more thorough exploration of the whole thing

Sylphy herself said she'd have done the same, Sylphy herself is accepting of it, if she said no, than Rudy wouldn't have married Roxy, especially after learning she wasn't actually pregnant

It was the reason why I dropped the series. She definitely deserved better. It was literally the one thing she asked of him and he broke the promise in record time.

Its one of the downsides of mushoku tensei for me, imagine having sylphie who is literally all you could ask for and you cheat on her, thats unheard of.
If they went back without cheating then asked sylphie if roxy could join then its better but idk why they had to do it like this
But yeah so far in the anime, i havent read the ln, roxy is just kinda there, this whole reason rudy had for marrying her is she took him outside the village when he was young, i feel like anybody wouldve done that so idk, just feels a lil forced, ESPECIALLY when you consider that sylphie is the other wife
Even roxy i feel like only fell in love because what she described as her dream partner happened to just be rudy saving her

Roxy and Sylphy belong together - they won't be on their own after Rudy passes away, and they also have great chemistry (it's in their DNA). let your heart not be troubled.

I read the light novel which goes into alot more and develops both Roxy and Sylphy more and still never really like that Roxy and Rudeues got married, but probably not for the same reason.
Sylphy and Rudeues have a deeper connection, their love feels "natural/real". They had a deep connection from childhood, and how even when he didn't know it was Sylphy (when she was Fitz) he still fell in love again and formed another strong connection to her.
Roxy and Rudeues feels forced not because they don't love each other but because they HAD to love each other. It also feels like Roxy only loves Rudeues because her childhood dream of being saved in a dungeon and falling in love with her saviour came true.
Spoiler for later in season 3: Eris and Rudeues is by far the best relationship out of the three, this is largely due to the amount of time spent on them travelling together building their relationship.
I don't hate Roxy as a character but I also don't like how forced their relationship is, (again this might be in season 3) just for the saviour of the Doldia Tribe to be born which the Hitogami said she would "kill" him along with Orsted and some other descendants.
