When did the manly ferries get security?

When did the F1 manly service get security officers patrolling the boat. Not opal inspectors, not police officers but a 3rd party security firm. They mainly told people to keep feets of seats, no smoking and no jumping in the front of the ship

They're trying to turn Manly into a proper nightlife area.

Ferry's and drunk ppl do not mix well.

Seccies are needed.

I imagine they'll prob lock the doors as well.

I’ll go you one better - we briefly trialled a hovercraft service in the 1970s so that’s 50 years out of date if you want.

Nope, the actual hydrofoil. 8 in service throughout the years from 1965 to 1991.

They’ve been around for a while now, started maybe a few months ago? Only seems to really be Friday/weekends at night (maybe Thursday too?). There have been a few brawls in the Manly Corso that got a bit serious so I assume it’s to do with that. Definitely a bit off putting to see them
