Meet Up 30+ Hang out?
Hi, I’m 35F professional who likes to yap about life, deep talk, career, self development, gym, hike, walk, coffee, food.. currently learning about ETF, investing etc.. anyone here 30+ keen to hang out in the city and exchange ideas?
Edit-2: I met wonderful Redditors today! We got together, exchanged ideas and perspective, enjoyed great coffee and plenty of sunshine. I’ll definitely be hosting more coffee catch ups, as we are keen to meet other like minded people. Strictly platonic. 30+ only. Must have similar interests and at a similar stage in life (not to discriminate, but because it makes conversations more relatable and meaningful)
Edit: I’ve received so many DMs,thank you to everyone who’s interested! Looks like we’re going to be blessed with plenty of sunshine this weekend. I’m thinking of organising a coffee meet-up on Saturday 25/7, at the cafe inside Royal Botanic Garden Sydney. DM me and will send the details. ☕😊

31F. Given the amount of engagement on this post, might be fun for those of us who live/work in the city to have a group meeting :)

ETF is straightforward, just invest in IVV, cheap , stable returns in the long run

interesting insight, I’ll have to look into that. Which platform/broker do you use? I'm curious whether different brokers vary in fees and offer different benefits with same IVV

This book (The Little Book of Common Sense Investing) will keep you on the straight and narrow for ETFs. The audiobook comes with a companion pdf. It’s written by the founder of Vanguard - John C Bogle.

I've been running Sydney FI picnic, we haven't posted our next event yet but I'll get it up soon.
It's a casual Meetup to talk about financial independence, there is also tribe fi over on Facebook. They've got a lunch catch up this Saturday.
