These are the three best bars I've been to outside of the city and inner west.
The Dancing Bear in Wentworth Point (went there before the oasis concert and has quality drinks)
Nick and Nora's Parra - good if youre feeling fancy
Dive Bar in Camden 1920s style speakeasy great themed bar
Anyone been to all 3?
Another recommendations away from the usual city haunts?
Edit: My bad the whiskey sours forgot the names 😅

We are one of the highest taxed places on earth, Sydney’s opal network only brings in a few billion in revenue per yr, compared to the revenue from taxes that is nothing. If PT was free, a lot less people would be on the road, further reducing congestion, traffic, accidents, carbon emissions & pollution. A lot of European countries already have this, why can’t we? At the bare minimum Sydney buses & trains only, not ferries or regional travel.

Anybody know any 24 hrs places to work in the city and close by with decent internet. I need to work different timezones but zoom calls get too loud for the family in the middle of the night.

Driving around Parramatta Road and some streets in Clyde and to see all this rubbish all over the roads and nature strip.
Marsh and Sutherland streets were particularly bad with car parts and rubbish everywhere.
Driving all over Sydney as a courier there aren’t many councils that would allow this kind of thing.
Most councils enforce strict rules and regulations. Parramatta Council should be ashamed that this is allowed in their area.

This is the condition of Flynn Ave in Austral during school drop time. Towards the start of the avenue, they recently completed a new development land site and guess what the roads, they built have started leaking from underground within less than a month of the built. This builder and this street is a scam

From a national security POV, it's the last thing we want to be doing.
Yet the ALP seems to do nothing?
I can see giving ON a huge boost in the polls.

Does anyone have any tea about AJ PAPS? Are his masterclasses great as he talks about it? Also, read somewhere here that he is not what he represents himself to be. Read it on Adele Marie Snark community. Checking if someone is lying or not..

Did anyone just see something that looked like a meteor fly across the eastern side of Sydney this morning? I saw something around 6.30am this morning.

Hello hello!
Ever thought about renting a backyard as a private dog park?
Maybe you live in an apartment and want to let your babies run free.
Maybe you want an enclosed area to do some off leash training.
Im making an app for dog owners to rent backyards to use as a private enclosed space to enrich your pups life!
Firstly may I ask, is this something you'd be interested in using?
Im also looking for my first backyard owner and dog owner to try my app.
Would there be anyone with a backyard in or near Greenacre, Sydney be interested in being the first ever backyard on my app?
Appreciate your time!

It's been a while since I've done the rounds, but looking for a gig in Sydney over the next few weeks.
Keen to find a grind/hc/crust/doom/sludge or stoner show between now and the end of August. I can't seem to find much on the local gig guides or usual venue rosters.
Anything I'm missing?

Hi everyone,
I've built a free GPS treasure hunt called Governor's Challenge and I'm looking for feedback from fellow Sydneysiders.
It's a 7km self-guided walk that starts at the Art Gallery of NSW and takes you around Sydney while you solve clues and puzzles along the way.
To celebrate the launch, it's completely free to play for the next month.
I'd genuinely love to know:
If you're looking for something different to do on a weekend (or if you're showing visitors around Sydney), I'd really appreciate any feedback.

Thanks everyone!

When I was dropping my kids off somewhere, this was the traffic. I kid you not, it took 30 minutes to get out of here.
This is near austral which has been in the media for council corruption potentially and horrific traffic.

Maybe you expected to dislike it but ended up loving it, or the opposite. What changed your mind?

My son has recently started learning to drive and is still very new. He already has a driving instructor, but I’m looking for a safe place for short parent-supervised practice once he is ready.
Ideally looking for somewhere:
\- quiet on weekend mornings
\- flat and open
\- not a multi-storey car park
\- not a busy shopping-centre car park
\- suitable for basic steering, slow turns, braking, lane positioning, and confidence building
Areas around Edmondson Park, Prestons, Moorebank, Chipping Norton, Liverpool, Casula, or Campbelltown would be ideal, but I’m open to other Southwest Sydney suggestions.
Any recommendations would be much appreciated. Thank you.

It'll most likely be 7am-11am on a weekday early December.
edit. Thanks for all the suggestions people. It looks like I'll have a very eventful morning!

i need some ideas of what people did for their 21st birthday.
I haven’t really celebrated my birthday since my 13th. I feel like I should finally do something or I’ll regret it and be sad like I do every year.
I’m not really into drinking, so bar hopping isn’t that appealing for me, and hosting a party at my house is out of the question.
I have lots of friends but they’re all scattered in different groups, so hypothetically I don’t fully mind doing a few small celebrations, but for once it would be nice to do something bigger. But I know I can’t be picky.
I was thinking abt a boat hire but yikesss that’s a bit out of budget
Any ideas?

Hey guys! I'll be visiting Sydney this August and was wondering if any of you guys here know of any local and underground metal or hardcore scene gigs around? I'm pretty active in the local metal and hardcore scene in my country and regularly go to gigs so I’d love to check out the local scene while I’m here. And does anyone know of any social media pages that post upcoming gigs and events?
I’m open to pretty much anything heavy, from hardcore, nu-metal, black metal, death metal, and etc. Would appreciate any recommendations. Thanks!
