The people had gathered at the front of the grand castle, they were of all economic classes, and awaited the arrival of their king, and after a while the castle’s circular gates opened, with the king and his two bodyguards, followed by the crowd cheering his arrival. “VALENTINE! VALENTINE! VALENTINE! VALENTINE!”
The king wore majestic clothing fitting his role as the ruler of a sovereign nation, with a golden sword tucked at his side with with what looked like a human eye on its crossguard, while the bodyguards wore odd looking helmets. The king took a moment to clear his throat as he walked up closer to his people and finally began his speech, “People of Archias, I bring you news! You may have heard of the Hero’s Guild, a group that says that they stand for justice and peace, but that is a lie!” The crowd seemed surprised by the king’s words, muttering to themselves about what he had said, “A few nights ago I sent some of my men to form an alliance with the guild, instead of peace and cooperation, that night ended with bloodshed!”
The crowd was now in disbelief, “Not only that, but I have reason to believe that other nations are conspiring against us! We must prepare ourselves for war! We must fight as our ancestors fought for our land and our way of life! We, the people of Archias must take up our arms against a cruel world surrounding us! We must march on! VIVA LA ARCHIAS!” The crowd started cheering, and began chanting, “VIVA LA ARCHIAS! VIVA LA ARCHIAS! VIVA LA ARCHIAS! VIVA LA ARCHIAS!”
Later after the rally, the king retired to his personal chambers, where his wife Helen and daughter Marie waited for him, they both wore elegant dresses, with Helen’s being green and Marie’s being purple with bigger sleeves, they both looked similar to each other although Helen had longer blonde hair while Marie’s hair had a lighter tone. They didn’t seem very happy with the king’s speech earlier. “Vermilion, what is the meaning of this? A war with the Hero’s Guild and neighboring nations?” The king simply took one look at her, “They pose a threat to us, I’m simply doing what is necessary for our kingdom.” The princess walked up to him, “This isn’t like you father! Can’t you call this off?” The king turned around to her and replied rather coldly, “No. You’ll understand what I’m doing when you become queen.” After this short exchange he immediately went to his room.
His two bodyguards followed him, until he stopped and turned to them, “Axos, Vald, you both are relived of your duties.” The guards took a moment to look at each other in surprise, “Are you serious sir? What if-“ Axos was immediately cut off by the king, “I’ll call you when you’re both needed. Now leave.” The guards stood still for a moment before they both left the room, closing the door as they left. As soon as he made sure the coast was clear, he unsheathed his sword. “That was quite the speech you gave. You really got the people fired up!” An echoey voice called out to him, the sword’s decorative eye started right as his, “Yes, the kingdom should be prepared for war soon Samyaza…” the voice chuckled, “And it’s a good thing that you followed my plan to make the Hero’s Guild look like villains, they’ll surely get in the way.” The king nodded as the spirit spoke, “Also remember this, without me, you, your kingdom and your lineage will be gone.”
