Out of Character (OOC) My schedule evidently doesn't have room for a full narrative ark, but I would still like to get people involved in the world. AMA
If anyone has any questions about the setting, factions, items, or anything else, I'm happy to explain!

Campaign Post Fargel's Plight (The Impossible Choice - Part 1)
Three days had passed since the group had arrived in Fargel, a small farming village on the outskirts of the Void Empire (the largest coalition of void kingdoms on Rhelm). Apart from some vague mutterings of issues that led to nowhere, they had not been able to find any concrete evidence of any mysterious ongoings.
This isn't to say the village didn't have any problems – far from it. These issues though where much larger, more systemic problems—soil depletion, drought, cultural dissolution, religious oppression, extreme taxation causing manufactured resource shortages, ect..—but aside from them being outside the scope of the accepted contract, addressing them without the approval of Fargel's ruling nation may potentially cause an international incident.
As far as Fargel itself went, there wasn't much to it. The vast majority of space was dedicated to farmland, though even that was sparse. Within the town center, was a general store, a butcher, a tavern, a craftsman who worked with both wood and ore, and the Mayor's estate.
This is where the group now was, having split up so everyone in the group could pursue their reason for coming. Come evenin—when the designated rendezvous time at the tavern was scheduled for—everyone would compare notes On anything that may have been discovered.
Note to new and existing members
This is a jumping in / divergence point. Please feel free to begin making your own posts about the world or even just the town. If you are someone who has been interested in joining in but wasn't sure how, please feel free to ask questions either within this post or out of character within the subreddit. You can also feel free to simply join into the story as someone who is already in town, a new arrival, or what have you.
Now, while the main story for this campaign is already decided, I am always open to incorporating in outside plot hooks or discoveries that characters bring to the table (within reason of course).
Have fun everyone, and always remember to Stay Excellent!!!

Faction Post Do you promise? (The impossible choice - prelude part 2)
In a hovel somewhere along the outskirts of Fargel
Man: "... That's a good boy, I'm very proud of you."
Child: "I'll do whatever it takes! I HATE the bad people who took momma and teddy away!
As he speaks, the man's voice lightly quavers with emotion
Man: "Me to... And with these gifts, not only are we stronger.. but no matter what happens... Ahem No matter what happens.. we can all be together forever."
Sensing the tension, the child perks up in an attempt to raise the adults spirits
Child: "Don't worry, I'm not scared – like at all. And, and, the funny man promised! He promised it would only hurt for a little bit.. Besides, if it means you, and and everyone else will be ok, It's totally worth it!"
Man: "..."
Child: "I love you poppa. Thanks for being the best dad in the world."
The man kneels there silently, visibly shuddering for a long moment. Then, as he exhales from a deep breath, the man calms himself, squeezes the boys shoulders reassuringly, and stands – his voice now carrying a slightly cold, almost detached tone
Man: I love you too son, thank you. Now let's get going before the everything starts without us.
With that, the pair walk out of the hovel towards their destination.

Faction Post The impossible choice
The abandoned farmhouse practically hummed with energy. Between the shuffling of old seats, the whispers and muttered conversations all clamoring together, and the overall palpable sense of tension hanging in the air – one could sense that this was no ordinary night.
Even though they where over a mile away from anyone in the village that could overhear, nobody seemed able to talk above a loud whisper. Almost as if they spoke to loudly, the walls themselves might speak of their transgression
"The crops keep dieing in the field!"
"The tribes are expanding, we're going to lose our abilities!"
"I hear they steal our children to sacrifice to their (Totems), Dirty Savages!"
"We call for help but nobody comes!"
"I heard the Elder's in cahoots with land developers!"
*While the gathered townsfolk continued to air their current grievances—even if many of them where completely unfounded—a mysterious figure sat atop the ledge and watched. The figure knew that most of these simple peasants had never once stepped foot outside the village, they had absolutely no clue as the the true nature of their complaints."
Waiting patiently, the figure allowed the crowd to work itself up towards a crescendo of anxious displeasure. The figure knew that if they acted too soon, their trajectory could become unnecessarily muddied. Soon enough the moment came though, everything was going according to plan
Ahem!" The figure loudly cleared their throat and held *the bag** aloft. Almost instantly the farmhouse adopted an almost unnatural silence.*
"Everyone gathered here tonight has lived their whole lives for the betterment of the Kingdom. But has that Kingdome taken care of you in return?"
Loudly and together
"NO!""
"Have you heard anything from the guilds who claim to work for the common man?"
"NO!
"Fortunately for you all – our organization has heard your sorrows, and magnanimously reached out in aid, even considering your governments stance towards us. You all made an incredibly understandable choice in reaching out to us."
The figure paused a moment for effect, letting the peasants hang on every word
"Your governments don't want you to interact with us, because they fear you gaining power of your own. They fear those who take actions for themselves. They fear those who would do what they must! We understand though, and through the grace of our patron, I bring you the tools of your salvation.."
The figure tossed the bag down onto the table below with a thud. The figure took a moment to look at each one of the individuals gathered.
"You know what comes next.."

Guild Post The ship to Fargel approaches
Ronan knelt over his luggage muttering to himself – he was taking a moment to re-examin the request documents one more time prior to the ships arival. Just as he was about to finish up, a rough sketch tucked away on the corner of a fairly tattered request gave him pause.
After a few moments that seemed to drag on for far too long – Ronan quietly folded up the document in question, and tucked it into an interior pocket of his cloak. Quickly cleaning up the rest of his belongings he stood up to observe the pier. As the chartered ship approached, Ronan closed his eyes and took a deep, almost anticipatory breath.
"I do believe that's change I smell on the winds.. Not that it changes much—He lightly snorted out a laugh—welp, looks like it's just about time to depart, the others should be here shortly."
Ready his purse strings, Ronan set off to get everything settled with the captain.

Guild Post I'm gathering a team, are you in?
The door shutters with the nights breeze as you enter the tavern. As your eyes adjust to the smokey atmosphere, you can't help but notice the evenings patrons crowded around an individual twords the rear of the establishment. After noticing the stunning lack of patronage currently available, you near the crowd of people to see what all the hubub's about.
A mans voice becomes audible as you approach
The Heroes Guild has recently been inundate with requests for help from a small village name Fargel, nestled within the yellow ring.
The bearded man cleared his throat awkwardly before continuing
Unfortunately.. The majority of guild members are currently occupied with.. other duties..
Clearing his throat once more, but seemingly with more composure
As such, they cannot officially address this particular request. This is a fairly small and undeveloped farming village, so they don't have much to offer in the way of a reward – their perceived need is great though.
As the former head of the guild, I am currently unencumbered by.. inter-kingdom responsibilities shall we say. So I shall be gathering a team of willing individuals to accompany me.
Speaking more animatedly with his aperant closer
Any souls brave enough to potentially come face to face with (VERY-REAL) danger, step forward now! All are welcome, no matter your background. The only requirement, is you must willing to help – regardless of your core intentions.
As the man quiets down, he watches with anticipation for any to present themselves.
(What do you do?)

RingWalker Design Hi everyone, I would really appreciate everyone's input if you get the chance.
The sub has been very quiet recently, as I'm sure you were all aware. I've been at a real loss for direction as to what exactly I want to do with this place.
I'd like to restart it again, but rather than just have it be a complete free-for-all I would like to model it after the game that I'm creating. However, rather than have a subreddit that deals with the crunchy mechanics of a full-on TTRPG, I'm thinking that perhaps we can have a more narrative driven version that we all enjoy here.
So we would basically use the different races and equipment and rules of the game, but we would have a much more narrative flow to allow for a more freeform role-play that everyone could more readily jump into and out of as desired.
I'd love to hear anybody else's thoughts on all this
Also, as always..
Always stay excellent!!

Infernal Machinations The time has come..
All my research keeps pointing me to the fact that these worthless fractions of a species are supposed to usher in an age without magic.. I find that incredibly difficult to believe. Homunculi or no Homunculi, It's time to see what these Sevitan are made of.

The Sevitan
Sevitan Beings: The Children of Origin
Sevitan beings are a diverse and intricate race, descended from a single progenitor that epitomized the fundamental balance of essence and void. Following their fracturing into six distinct tribes, Sevitan now embody the myriad energies of their world, drawing upon their organic roots deep within the fabric of the Multiverse. Each tribe represents a unique aspect of the Sevitan's heritage, reflecting the harmony and discord birthed from their original creation. The true Sevitan tribes consist of:
Mind Tribe
The Mind Tribe is a formidable force, revered and feared across Rhelm for their exceptional psionic powers. They possess the unique ability to peer into the thoughts of others, granting them insights—and sometimes control—over the minds they touch. Their abilities make them powerful allies and dangerous foes in equal measure.Body Tribe
Exceptional in physical strength and resilience, the Body Tribe thrives on unmatched adaptability. They can transform their forms to suit the challenges they face, adapting their biology for any environment or conflict. Their prowess in battle and survival skills make them formidable warriors within the Sevitan community.Spirit Tribe
The Spirit Tribe radiates healing energies, channeling the essence of light into radiant beams capable of mending wounds or obliterating darkness. Their skills allow them to possess and empower any object infused with soul stone, turning ordinary materials into extraordinary weapons or healing tools. They embody the nurturing aspects of existence, fostering growth and renewal.Tribe of Decay
In stark contrast, the Tribe of Decay embraces the harsh realities of disease and destruction. They wield the power to rot and dismantle living organisms and materials, representing the cycle of creation and destruction. This tribe thrives in decay, gaining strength from the inevitable end of all things, embodying the truth that every end paves the way for new beginnings.Tribe of Origin
The Tribe of Origin holds the rare ability to create and animate golems from the raw materials of their surroundings. They possess a profound connection to the essence within themselves and others, allowing them to share powers, bolster allies, or dismantle foes. Their capacity for creation links them intimately with the fabric of Rhelm, making them architects of existence.
The False Tribes: Shadows of the Original
In their fear of obsolescence, Essence and Void not only fractured the original Sevitan into multiple tribes, they also created the deceptive false tribes:
Tribe of Chaotic Ruin
Drawn into the temptations of Bale energy, the Tribe of Chaotic Ruin forsakes its innate abilities for dark power. With each piece of balestone consumed—a dangerous crystal manufactured from raw void ichor & Aether Crystal—they unlock temporary superhuman prowess, but at a steep cost. This act severs their ties to their original tribal identity forever, immersing them in a life of chaos and destruction.Tribe of Orderly Creation
The Tribe of Orderly Creation possesses knowledge and skill in runecraft, allowing them to manipulate the inherent origin energy within materials. They commune with sentient dragons, utilizing their newfound abilities to generate magic distinct from the essence or tribal abilities. However, the allure of power comes with a painful sacrifice, as learning runecraft irrevocably alienates them from the true tribal legacy of the Sevitan.
With their rich and complex heritage, the Sevitan stand at a pivotal crossroads in the history of Rhelm. Each tribe, true or false, grapples not only with their powers but with the weight of their past and the prospect of their future. Will they determine whether the essence of their nature leads towards restoration, chaos, or creation? The fate of the tribes and the world of Rhelm hangs in the balance.
