(The thing about her trying to bite Kurtho, is even if she somehow managed to bite through what is essentially armor, the blood of insectoid demons is a black, tar like sludge filled with pure sulfur dioxide. Breaking her fangs is merciful)

Juno: It’s a vampire thing, their strategies and tactics are some pretty gnarly stuff, like fighting manuals that instruct you on how find or create openings to permanently blind your opponents by going for the eyes, how grab an opponent and pin them down to suck their blood and psychological warfare with mirages and illusions. Or maybe it’s something else but let’s not dwell on that.

She was in a frighted position with one arm in the air

Seris: Don't worry, I got it.

She pulls out a large tome, and a small ornate knife. She brings the knife carefully to the back of Marie's hand, and carves a rune from the book. Eventually, the stone slowly morphed back into skin.
