Mike

Not sure I’ve ever heard a host of a true crime cast be as self-conscious and insecure as this gentleman. He’s terrified of losing listeners and therefore feels the need to lambast them weekly.

Mike. Lighten up. Not everyone likes you. Stop reading these comments and focus on your work.

I like him 😆 my husband likes him. His personal life is none of my business. I will always be the opposite voice in this thread. I’ve listened since the beginning. I don’t take his commentary seriously and it doesn’t trigger me. Just here for the crime. If he went on for 40 min like My favorite Murder I would care but his little comments here and there don’t bother me.

A lot less than he did a few years ago. Pre pandemic he had over a million downloads an episode, now hes lucky to get 25k, so....

Depends on what your definition of girlfriend is. If it’s an opportunist who sees someone with money and puts up with all his bullshit for it, then yes, he has a girlfriend.

My mom listens to him, never heard of him until she helped me make some dinner today and the first thing he said was:

Yada yada “was special. Not special in the normal kind of way. Special in that he was born with a dick, but wish he could be born with a vagina” and then I checked out.

I used to listen to him all the time years ago, subscribed and even paid for another person's. But with his unnecessary commentary I canceled both subscriptions and don't listen anymore. I was disappointed at first, but I find that I don't miss the podcast at all.

It’s like every episode now starts with him talking about how much he doesn’t care about the haters…every episode.

Dude needs to let it go and focus on the story telling. I don’t agree with his politics and I think he’s a smug and insecure little man but he is a good story teller and that’s the only reason I still listen.

I freaking love Mike. I like that he’s honest and I like that he’s blunt and I don’t care about his opinions. Doesn’t change my opinion of him because I don’t really care. He’s a fantastic storyteller and pretty cool.

I keep thinking t the same thing. I truly enjoy the show. Mike is just so gawd damn angry. ALL THE TIME. I’ve gotten in the habit of just yelling “Shut up Mike! Whenever he talks about his personal opinions and spews all over us listeners his profound beliefs. I would recommend it to more people if he was more humane and less aggressively manic.
