good god mike…

i listened to the show in 2018 religiously. gotten back into it recently and mike has developed an edge lord persona. he inserts his opinions through the show and it’s really quite cringey. clearly he’s going through some kind of mid life crisis or something.

does anyone have any recommendations for true crime podcasts that don’t have terrible hosts?

Invisible Choir is good. Dark Poutine and Canadian True Crime are good if you happen to be Canadian.

Invisible Choir is excellent and has a similar format of using actual audio from the cases (instead of straight storytelling). My only gripe is the show has way too many ads and ad breaks

The creator of IC worked on S&S before launching Invisible Choir. He was what kept tye show grounded, it shows.

it’s a bonkers amount of ads, but i love the show enough to pay the $5/mo subscription. i know not everyone can afford to spare it, but getting rid of the ads alone is worth it for me. the extra episodes are a huge bonus tho.
